I guess it's ok for a human with horrible personality, but not for a fluffy, cuddly, comforting little stuffed toy.

P.S. Happily Happy has been posting the same thing for hours. ~is tired of it~

EDIT: I have a question. Don't you think it would be fair to punish the parents of that person you're talking about? I mean, they did after all disgrace Muhammed's name by giving it to such a horrible human.

People are born pure and sin free so when a baby is given that beautiful name it is given the best possible start. If down the line the person turns out bad how were you to know he would bring disgrace upon such a beautiful name, that Muslim should be ashamed and study the life of the Prophet Muhammed pbuh, maybe it will enlighten him.

Ofcource its a holy name of a Prophet. The Al-mighty god was sending his messengers to the people to lead them to right path.more or less 125000 prophets came to this world. The Last prophet is Mohamed he was a model for the human being, so the people use to name their child as Mohamed. If the child grown up and doing the things against his holy name neither the name nor the parents do nothing.Only the thing we can do is to pray the Al-mighty Lord to lead him to the right path.

That is great that you do have Muslim friends.

Mohamed is the name of their hero and founder of their religion. So that is understandable for them to choose the name for their child.

When parents name their baby they do not know what their child will be like in the future.

Also that man is human. It is up to him how he wants to live his life. It is the same as being in a family. There is the good son or the black sheep. They've just chosen different paths that defined who they are with mankind.

Hello,

Perhaps Mohamed was a common name. In comparison I know some Latino men, involved in drugs, getting girls pregnant and abandoned, a few in jail facing deportation who have the name Jesus, not to mention some girls with the name Guadalupe, Maria or Conchita (Concepcion) after the Immaculate Conception who dress like skanks, have 3 or 4 different kids with different fathers.

The name is Holy ...
That doesn't necessarily make the man holy...
The parents must have probably chosen this name thinking that 1 day their son will come out to be a really good man but he didn't....
The name however remains pious but the person with that given name doesn't have to be pious ...

first thing regarding teddy issue is that, muslims do not concern any image or whatever to prophet Mohammad, as it will result in idolatory and instead of worshiping Allah they will start worshiping (Image of )Mohammad PBUH. and naming a person the name Mohammad isnt regarded as sin because a new born baby is clean from all sins. so the parents cant account if he will be later a sinner

The parent thought by giving a child that name, he could someday be a holy man or pious man. Unfortunately, a name wont characterised one personality. So thus any other names.
