There are/were MANY religions that predated Christianity, some by thousands of years -- including Paganism (from whence the early Christian church took many of its holidays, traditions, rituals, etc.). Many cultures throughout the world, pre-Christianity, were polytheistic, like the ancient Egyptians, Romans, Greeks, Nords, etc. When Christianity came along, it relegated all of those religions either to "Satanism" or "mythology" -- of which both claims were entirely without merit (or rationale). On a comparative basis, Christianity is a fairly new religion.

really? And I thaugh it came ony after all the civilizations died and Rome was born to coquer the world. Dear man, Bible claims to be as old as time, that means even before Dinosorousessssssssss. But how would they know how old it was, written when there was even a recognized languge all..

No you must have gotten it wrong. It was the Koran that was suppose to be the oldest , as it was written down by Allha himself..

But then the Indian civilization claims the Veds to be the oldest.

What you care ecept that there is only one god, and storied have been made up centuries ago to make man obey they good lord (In this case man's) word.

Yes the egyptians were practicing their religion same as the hebrews that they were doing the same, at the same time only difference its that egyptian religion had several gods and the hebrews had the REAL GOD who delivered them from the slavery of the egyptyans.

(maybe want to read a little the bible before making a comment) thank you.

Bible is a book compendium of several books written chronologically you may want to check this: www.bible.org

Your lack of logic is surprising! The article never mentions when Christians claimed the world started. Nor does the Bible. The Bible simply states the world was created by God!

In conclusion, I have but one thing to say.

"Suck gas evil-doer!"
