To most, it's because they are gentle relationship-wise and they care more and are more emotionally aware of our needs. They also make great long-term best friends. :)
However, does long-ish type hair, 3 week beard, and a fondness for Coldplay make someone's bf any less than a man? I don't think so.

Of course. Mick Jagger, Rod Stewart, Lyle Lovett, Donald Trump, Steven Tyler, and the list could go on forever. And look at Flava Flav. The dude is a Gremlin! These are fugly men who if they were out selling Hyundai's would not get a second glance by the women they attract. But in their defense a lot of men with money have money for a reason and confidence and intellegence that helped them make their money or develop their talent is attractive as well. But then again if I won the lottery this weekend I know I would become more attractive to a lot of people!

I love these men but you are wrong cos MOST women don't like these men and I get told constantly what bad taste I've got by other women. And where did you get the idea they're whimps? Real men have their hair manicured and slap on the old aftershave ey?Don't make me larf, they're the poofy whimps!
I think you have a bee in your bonnet about an ex-girlfriend or a girl you like who's going out with someone or fancies someone of that description. It's called jealousy. And you will give me a thumbs down for this cos I've just hit the nail on the head!

I have no idea when this happened. I think it's with the Millennial generation. Justin Timberlake a sex symbol? C'mon. He looks like a boy. I don't get it either. When I was younger, sexy men were like Patrick Swayze, Mel Gibson, Bruce Springsteen, Sylvester Stallone, not these metrosexual men.

First of all, different people like different things. Just because some girls go for that, doesn't justify the fact that ALL girls go for that type of guy. How ignorant.

Gruff and tough, that can bash people up and protect the family against bandits. Keep taking the steroids!
Of course all the wimps are cunts, and thieves.

My man is really masculine and I do wish that he was more in touch with his feminine side. He is mostly kind and considerate though.

We can often spot an a--hole a mile away...they usually think they are so cool that don't even have to be considerate or nice....often they think they are being "manly" then too.
