I is very hard to control oily skin but there are products you can use to prevent getting spots. I have been using acne getaway 101E and sulphur soap for about 4 months it is very good and with in about 2 weeks my skin was clear I love the stuff as I had tried so many thing before that had done nothing. Also use an oil free moisturiser Clinique do them, they are not cheep but last.

The only way to stop the oil is a drug called roaccutane which I think is a modified vitamin B but it's pretty heavy duty on the side effects.

I'll add some links if I can find some.

See a skin doc. I think that it is dangerous to ask for medical advise from lay people. It could cause you some real problems. I am 55 and have oily skin. I have always had oily skin. I do not look my age due to oily skin. (Wrinkles are much less likely to happen at a younger age.)

I just wash my face twice a day. Once when I shower, and once at night before bed. It has served me well.

Good luck, and see a dermatologist. Home remedies can cause harm.

I personally use Tea Tree Oil because it is well-known for its drawing properties, meaning it draws the infection (the pimple) out. I also use it on my acne regularly because it reduces the redness within hours of putting it on, and it works amazingly on my pimples to keep them away. It's very safe and doesn't hurt at all.. It is 100% natural with no "fake" additives in it or anything like that... Best of all it is cheap and easy to find, such as at Walgreens (if you have one around), or at stores that sell health-foods and natural medicines. It is a very common home remedy and is very handy in medicine cabinets or First Aid Kits because it is a "cure-all" meaning it is not just for one thing in particular, it can help with many things.

I use it, and I love it. ProActiv didn't work for me, and nothing else really has either.. but this stuff has pretty much done the trick.

Goodluck :)

Have you tried washing your face at least twice a day? Three times if it is really oily? Clearasil and Neutragena make excellent cleansers for oily skin. Also try using an astringint. Clearasil, Neutragena and all the big names have them. An astringint is used to remove oils from deep in your pores helping to prevent the oils from clogging your pores and forming pimples.

Changing your diet will help a lot. Also be thankful for oily skin, it will help when you get older to prevent wrinkles. You said you eat 5-6 fruits and veggies a day but do you leave the fried foods a junk alone?

If you're English, Mark and Spencer's pressed powder is good: not a famous brand or anything but it works. I used mousse foundation and then brush it over, it gives a healthier and cleaner look. It blends with most skin tones too. It also lasts a long time. My T-zone is also like that, it works :)

An oily skin , as the name implies, is one in which the sebaceous or oil-producing glands are over active. As surface grease tends to attract dirt, an oily skin acquires a dirty surface film , that needs to be removed daily. For more details log to http://useinfo-oilyskin.blogspot.com/

I know your a guy, but you could put a little powder foundation on. It really does help, and you can barley help.....

If you don't want to do that, just wash it 3 times a day with the SAME cleanser. Make sure the cleanser has a strong feeling after you wash, like it exfoliated. And when you go to bed, put the moisterizer on, not in the morning. (Then foundation in the morning.)

To control the oily skin you should wash it more often. No need for moisturizers because the oil is already doing that.
