if she doesn't already have a doll, this is a good time to introduce one...a safe one anyway. Also, blocks are always a great toy and maybe shaped blocks with a container so she can learn to put the right block in the right shape. Also, song books or a children's instrument like a drum or a play piano...kids seem to love that stuff.

My daughter is now about to turn 2 and she loved her winnie the pooh rocking horse at age 1 and also those shapes blocks that you have to fit into the right hole into a bucket. Also she loved musical toys such as her leap frog and sesame street learning table, it teaches shapes and colors and has tons of music. Hope I was helpful.

my son has the AMAZING ANIMALS train with the animals inside/ riding on the train. It plays music and it LOVES it! When he cousins come over they sit there for hours and play with it.
Edit- Oh yeah Same here my son loves his Winnie the Pooh rocker...He's still real chicken about it but he'll just sit there forever. I guess any toy that plays music and lights up...That does it for my son...
