I just got my infant simulator yesterday where you are required to insert a key into its back to stop its crying. My baby has cryed every 5 hours, and when i go to insert the key and turn it clockwise it gets quiet, but i have to hold the key in there 30 minutes before it will coo and signal that the care session is over.

Is this normal? Are you 'spoused to turn the key, or just insert it? Should the baby still be crying when the key is insterted?

It's just that the other students babies on cryed for two minutes, and mines almost half and hour. Any advice?

You have to insert and turn the key and keep it turned till the doll gives you signs that it's done. As soon as you insert and turn the key, it will stop crying. I had one in high school. The cries of the doll is to indicate different needs...feeding time usually takes up to 30 minutes (mine used to take 45 min) and "diaper change" from 2-5 minutes. Sounds like you're doing ok. If any doubts or questions just ask your teacher for any clarifacations.
The doll was so much easier than the real one.

Yeah you have to keep the key turned to simulate "feeding" the baby. I had one in middle school and let me just tell you it's SOOOOOOOO much easier than a real baby!

I don't have any experience with a baby simulator, but I do know that real babies vary quite a bit in how much they need to be held. My baby required pretty much constant holding.
