Not present employer, but have, in the past with other employers. Mostly because of managers who thought that good managment was going around snarling at everyone, getting everyone on edge and in such a state of nerves that they were not able to concentrate on doing a good job anymore. Thinking back, I should have just snarled back, instead of running around trying to satisfy unsatisfiable demands...

No; never
I had more dignity with the present employer than the earlier, when I had no employment
Employment invariably enhaces the status and dignity of any person.
First try to love/like your self,
Try to love/like your work,
Try to work with deligence and interest;
Try to love/like your employer,
then, there will not be any question of thinking of dignity/status.

then this employment is not the right fit for you, looking for a job is just for money, this is what you have a job, keep looking and thinking of a career, a career is something that you would love to do, use the money from your job to accomplish your goal and good luck in all your endeavors.

sure! gazing an old "Twilight Zone" of a guy going lower back to 1927 I felt chuffed seeing the Roaring '20's and listening to the tune and gazing the chuffed human beings, yet cried thinking of ways unhappy it replaced into 1929 will come and wreck each thing relaxing from then.

No but I know where you are coming from.
My current employer actually paid me a signing bonus, so I'm feeling okay about them...for now.
