She works at a grocery store and her shifts typically end around 11pm. Lately shes been coming home at around 1 or 2 saying that she has to stay later to restock and do inventory. I drove by the store last night to see if her car was there after 11 and it wasn't there. When I asked her about it she said that last night was the only night she didn't have to stay later, but decided to go to a friends house for a beer afterwards. I asked her what friend. She said her friend Meghan.
So today, I thought I would call up Meghan's husband who is my friend too, and ask him if he wants to come over and to bring Meghan and watch the game. He said ok.
So when my wife asked who I called, I said I called up Jim and Meghan and they're coming over tonight to watch the game. I told her I know you just saw her yesterday, but I thought it would be nice to all hang out. She turned red and looked like she was guilty of something. My guess is that she is cheating on me with Jim. Do you agree?

I think she is probably cheating. Don't jump to the conclusion that it is Jim though. She could of just used Meghans name as a cover-up and it could be somebody else altogether.
You'll never rest until you know for sure, sure, so my advice would be to let it ride until she goes back to work and then follow her wherever she goes after 11 one night. Then you'll know for sure that she is/isn't and with who.

I don't know how you deduced it was Jim. I think she is cheating on you, but not necessarily with Jim. She was embarrassed because you caught her in a lie. After all, she was not with Meghan last night having a beer, that was a lie because she was cheating on you with a guy from work. So she knows that if Jim and Meghan come over to the house, you may catch her in a lie.
After your divorce, consider this. Women don't like to be called 'the wife.' It's a bit like saying, 'the TV' or 'the dog.' So try to be less sexist next time around.

yes shes cheating if she has to feel guilty about something then that tells it all.i dont thinkg grocery stores stay open after hours to stock they do that a hour or two before closing time. if she was going over a friends house then she should have contacted you first and said where she was going that way if she was going to do something wrong then you would know that she was out cheating anyway. im sorry you had to deal with that but if she messing up once she'll do it again so just leave or if you feel like you can forgive her then forgive her an move on with the relationship.

Maybe you caught her lying and she wasn't over at Jim & Meghans at all, and that's why she blushed. Do you even know if she was actually at their house the night before? Sort-of sounds like somethings going on, but you're jumping to conclusions.

I wouldn't say it was with Jim! Maybe she's not cheating but it sounds like she is up to something. Sounds like you need to discuss this with her though. Open communication is important in a relationship. Why, if she is having to stay later then normal, isn't she calling you to let you know? I would worry if my spouse didn't come home when I expected them too and would like a courtesy call. Especially at that time of night, all kinds of bad things could happen and if you don't know where she is...

She knows that you are on to something and is getting defensive. Especially if you went to her work and she came up with a BS excuse. She might think you might talk to Meghan to get the real story. She is doing something behind your back and now she is going to be more discreet about what she is going to do.

U simply ask her, why she lied u. She was not with Meghan.Is she not satisfied with u sexually or does she like someone else.U can go to the stores at 11.00 to take her home.and watch changes in her behaviour. Before all that u think many times before doubting her.Once there is a knot in married life , it will be difficult for both of u tolive togather without no reason.

She is cheating on you with someone, but it sounds to me that she used Meghan as an excuse and is probably getting nailed by someone other then Jim, but perhaps there is more to this story as to why you think it is Jim that you didn't expain.
Get an AIDS test, btw.

Chuck I don't know you or your wife but there is only one way of getting the real answer. That is to confront her with your suspicions. Hopefully she can put your mind to ease and tell you the truth. Who knows she may be out trying to get a surprise gift for you for Christmas and not doing anything wrong at all. But conversing with her and letting her know how you've been feeling and what you've been feeling and thinking is the only way of getting to the truth. Best of luck to you both.

Not sure why you would deduce the culprit to Jim, but it sounds like something is awry outside of a healthy marriage. Have you asked her about it, instead of trying to be Sherlock Holmes?
