I have to agree with Rosa, dive into some of the more popular food websites, including Foodnetwork.com which has an upcoming 25 days of Christmas where they give a different cookie recipe everyday. I make hundreds, everything from cut-out sugar cookies to a peanut butter cup cookie (you can find that recipe on allrecipes.com). Taste is subjective so it depends on what you like. My personal favorite are thumbprints which I fill with a sugar cookie frosting rather than the traditional jelly.
