alright so i have this neighbor and hes really sweet respectful and outgoing hes a great friend, but hes been in love with since the day i moved in (nearly 3 yrs ago) and i just never thought of him that way, well now he has a "girlfriend" (finally) but its still weird, like his mom was really sweet to me when i saw them, now she wont even look at me, and hes still looks up at my window sometimes and seems nervous around me, so am i causing problems in his relationships? also im worried that im being disrespected, like his family was only nice to me when they thought i might give him a chance. i dont know how to go about this, they always told me id be a heart breaker, and now im afraid its coming true.

Why should YOU feel guilty - HE is the one who NEVER made a move to win you over...

His family is petty and cruel - and you might have dodged a bullet here!

When someone's family starts playing these sorts of games, it means that they are total control freaks - and if you DID go out with him, they would have been running BOTH of your lives...

Consider yourself lucky that you didn't fall into that trap ;);););)

well, you're not a heartbreaker, don't worry, i mean, if he's moved on, he's moved on, they can't blame that on you...it's actually GOOD for him...i don't see why they should be upset...you can't help who you like, or don't like, for that matter...i mean C'MON, three years??? that's a really long time...just let him know that he doesn't have to be awkward around you, you don't mind he's got a new gf, and that you still want to be his friend, and that you miss being his friend...also, befriend his gf if you can...then she can be sure that you're not after him... good luck!

And so what?
You think you should date with everyone who will like you? Because if you don't they would think bad about you.
You just should think what will happen if you dated him. Yes, He and his family will be happy and what about you?
In these questions you should be extremely selfish, because if anyone of pair wasn't happy the pair would soon vanish

It's really not your fault; if anything, the family are being disrespectful towards you, seeing you as a means to please their boy. Best bet, is to let them continue being immature, and don't let it get to you to the point where you retaliate. I Hope This Helps x

You're fine, maybe he just feels the awkwardness around you.
