his real name was Peter McCloy, nickname the girvan lighthouse because of his frame (6'5 i believe) and where he hailed from. Steward kennedy was a fellow keeper at ibrox that contested McCloy for the starting keeper's spot for rangers, which was eventually won by the lighthouse, who following this didnt miss a match for a few years in the late 70's if im not mistaken.
