Well, I told God to strike me dead many, many times to prove his existence and it hasn't happened. My guess is that there would be an explanation since I have been rebuffing Christians for years.

Honey, I stood five feet away from the priest at my niece's traditional Ukrainian Orthodox wedding, and I didn't burst into flame. If a witch in such a place doesn't get 'struck down' then it ain't gonna happen anywhere else.

I would add it to my list of" Reasons not to believe
Any god that would do that to an innocent person simply because that person rebuffed a member of his tribe is worthy of neither my respect nor my worship.
The bottom line is that truly great people don't do petty things, only small people do petty things.

I am an atheist.

I would do the same thing if I saw a christian struck down by lightning for witnessing an atheist. I would try and provide first aid, and call 911.

What a silly question. Is this as deep as your thinking gets, or are you trying to pass an initiation test by telling the dumbest joke on the web?

You want to see unbelievers struck down by divine vengeance. Where does all this violence come from, darling? Does it come from your filthy nasty little god, or does it come from your filthy nasty little mind? Or are they one and the same thing?

I would think that if God interacting directly with the world like that, ever, then maybe there would not be so much disagreement over Him.

In your make believe world where make believe god strikes down hypothetical atheists, I would make believe I believe. Then make believe pink unicorns being ridden by fluorescent green elves would pretend to take me to the castle in the sky.

That god is vengeful and you should worship him or you get a bolt of lightening in your skull.
