First of all i say again i am advertising for religions because i dont care about religions
I am not offending anyone ,it is just an argument
But you say that you are sure that God deosnt exist
but are you 100% sure? of course no becasue no one knows the absolute truth
so lets say that there 1% chance that God exists
wouldnt it be worth it to seek God?
Because if u dont believe god then you know that you will die and that's it
but what the 1% chance was right, and God was real and you find out that you wasted your time on earth and you miss the chance to be with God for eternity
especially that God,for the one who say that we will not folllow God and stay in Fear, loves us and he wants us to love him
and all his laws bring us life
as i said before love is life ,love ur enemy is life so
i was wondering ,and please dont take it as an offence or as i am defying you,why do you honestly refuse God

Have you ever asked him, have u ever seeked him?
I know i have ,i know that i was changed since the, i will not tell you that i witnessed God by asking him to make me a millionaire or make him appear in a magical ways or something because magicains can do that, satan can do that, exorcists can also
but u feel god inside of you, your soul

Lets say there's a 50-50 chance that God exists. My contention isn't whether or not he exists, but whether or not we can find this truth.

If its 50-50 for God but 0% chance of finding the truth, then why bother?

Are you 100% sure that Zeus isn't the true God? What about Anubis? What about Thore? What about Poseidon? This argument is the reason why believing "just in case" is such a stupid religious argument. If there is a God then which religion is right? Maybe Hindus are right? Who knows?! All I'm saying is that 1% is not worth wasting your one life over. So many Christians and other religious people spend their whole life as if they shouldn't bust their asses because there will be a perfect life after this one. I'm sorry but this is the only life you get so you should get the most utility from it and stop believing in fairy tales.

Atheists are living their life, spending time with those who count the most and trying to get the most of life. We're not wasting our lives on Earth... religious people are.

Yes, I'm 100% sure there is no god.

Even if there was a 1% chance there was a god, I don't know this loving one. I hear a lot about a vengeful, angry, hateful god, but I would refuse to bend my knee to a god who was so unworthy of worship that he had to threaten me to ensure my obedience. A loving god would show me the proof the god-given skepticism in me required in a way that would reach ME, not in a way that reaches the people who already believe.

To believe in god simply to cover your bets isn't real belief and any god worthy of the title would see through that. I can't simply choose to believe. I either believe because I have been convinced, or I don't because I haven't.

No offence taken.

Last of all, let's just say there is God, then the probaility of it is zilch, right? Then again, say, if there were no God, the likelihood of it is also naught, correct? So, now we have two zeros, we can now work on it and derive a formula to arrive at an answer pertaining to the question of God's existence.

U follow me so far?

OK. Let's get to work then!

If we were to add 0 to 0 then subtract 0 from the sum, that'll give us a 100, right? So far, so good! But a 100 will give us infinity, correct or not? So, by mathematical rules, we now need to lateral reverse 100 to give us 001. Since we have lateral reversed the number, so we now need to subtract 1 from the reversed number to arrive at our answer. So the answer is, Bingo!

Does that anwer your question?

Glad to be of service to you!

i don't believe in any form of "life after death" so i don't see the point of throwing myself at a religion and devoting my life to it for such a small chance. I look at religion, as it has framed so many social behaviors, and i succumb to many of it's good sides anyway, i live a good life, i don't steal or cheat or kill. but then i do try to change some opinions set by the bible. as a gay man i live my life trying to convince people that the glbtq community ISN"T sinfull, we are normal people, the actual bible doesn't even say anything about homosexuality, it's all a misinterpretation.

i want to live my life the way i want to live it. god wasw a part of early human life, we didn't know as much as we do now, so for us, gad was the only explanations, but there are better explanations now, one's that don't have to be interpreted or translated, the simply are. things like physics and the scientific method are FACTS OF LIFE, they will apply to any circumstance, they needn't be read differently depending on the situation, as so many religious texts, including the bible, are.

the answer to your question is no, im not 100% sure, many people believe in some religion, and somewhere in my head i think "so many people can't be wrong" but then i look at sceince and i have thatsame thought. it makes more sense! so i wont spen my life trying to change myslef and make my life even more complicateed for a 0.000000000000000000000001% chance of divinity.

i dont think there is a 1% chance. i view him as i view the previous religions that were peppered before it. we know there was no odin or thor or set or isis or posidien...etc.
we put those and many more gods behind us.
i believe to be moral without the aid of a fear of damnation.
religion is control. and i refuse to believe what has been done in his name... is what he wants his name to be used for. and i dont think a god like him would show up in the form of miracles regularly 2-3000 years ago when we were very uneducated people... but he will not stop the persecution going on now... in his name...and show up and show us he is here now...
it doesnt make common sense.
im ok knowing that i may just be a life form that lives and dies....and i will not have the conceit that i view my individual existance to be so important that i deserve to .... "live forever in heaven"....which is a common view of every religion before it...and every religion that has yet to come

Let us say that there is a mere 1% chance that God exists. What are the odds that the rules you follow are actually pleasing to God? There are a lot of disagreements about what God wants even among Christians (especially among Christians,) and 2 out of 3 people in the world disagree that Christians have it right to begin with, so good luck - I hope you win the lottery, but I think it's a scam.

Meanwhile, you need to respect the fact that your gambling habit disgusts me personally, and I won't let you force me to do it. Keep your dogma and your rituals in your churches, homes, and businesses, and keep them out of my government and all it stands for.

I'd rather "waste" my life living it to the full and doing what I want than spending it worshipping someone that there is only a small chance even exists. You could turn this around easily and ask theists since they're 100% sure there's a higher being, say there's a 1% chance this higher being doesn't exist. Would they want to not waste their life worshipping?

This won't be the last question.

Edit: Bro, here's the problem with your "argument." First, it is a rehash of Pascal's Wager. Look it up.

More importantly, you don't "win" someone to a belief in God because "statistically" it is the smart thing to do. Many atheists are aware of Pascal's Wager and still choose not to believe. Belief in God cannot be attained by proof. Belief cannot be attained by mathematical reasoning. One chooses to believe and has faith that their choice is right.

I admire the passion of your attempt. In the future, pray and ask God to show you how to draw people to Himself. There you will find your answer. Then do what He says.

Do you know for sure that the invisible pink unicorn that rules the universe does NOT exist? What if there is 1% that this unicorn does exist. Isn't that worth seeking it out? The invisible pink unicorn loves you and wants you to believe in him.

Yet there is absolutely no evidence to support the existence of either any god or unicorn. Why don't you believe in the unicorn as well?

I'm sure this isn't the last.

Of course I'm not 100 percent sure, but I'm pretty damn close. Why should I believe?

I do not believe in Pascal's Wager. That is, the whole, "why not just believe because if you're wrong, nothing happens, but if you're right you get rewarded." No. That's bull. I'm a good person. If God can't deal with that, screw him/her/it/them.

I don't refuse God. I simply don't believe he/she/it/they exist(s). Give me proof and I'll believe. I'm not questioning why you believe so stop questioning me.

God.
