Yes you can, dont worry about using a code because every state is different and even within each state some municipalities are different so stick to officer down, it will be easier than yelling out a code that is wrong. While this is a noble thing to do never put yourself in danger to do it, if a shooter .... is still in the are go somewhere safe and call for help. But yeah, you can use it, and dont worry about a code most everyone on the radio understands english.

Hmmm...an officer's down and I guess no other officer is around? So hows about getting on the radio, pressing that button and saying help! Reckon that might get what you need.

Well I don't see how you could get in trouble. Could see you getting in trouble for NOT calling. Then again if officer if down you'd probably be the number 1 suspect without proof, especially with that height and weight. What the hell does that have to doing with it anyway. Lol.

They can use the radio and to call it is usually as follows:

10-13 10-13 Officer down, request help at "X" location...I repeat 10-13 10-13 Officer down, request help at "X" location

Yes. I did it. Cop ahead of me hit a deer, went off the road, smashed his head badly. I used his car radio, just started transmitting "officer injured" and approximate location. My weight, height had nothing to do with it.
