I'd like to go to Brighton next year, but not sure of the train-ticket cost - it doesn't tell you on the website.
Taunton is in the South West of England; and you know where Brighton is :)
So it's a three hour journey at least I think

A Saver return would cost you £65. However, if you book far enough in advance it is cheaper to buy two single tickets. For example, on 15 January you could get a FirstMinuteFareE on the 12.23 from Taunton for £8.50 and a FirstMinuteFareB on the 14.22 from Brighton on the 16th for £27 - quite a saving. However, you do have to book well in advance to get these and they are available on only certain trains. The journey from Taunton to Brighton takes about 4 hours, not 3. There are several routes - via London Paddington, Underground and London Victoria, via Westbury direct to Brighton, via Reading/Gatwick Airport/Brighton. Bear in mind you can only book about 3 months in advance but check out this website when you know your dates and times - www.thetrainline.co.uk
