It depends on what you're referring to as a 'sick knee'. But yes, ice will help considerably. Also, with caution, you might consider applying an icy-hot patch: My husband used those after he strained his back, and they helped considerably.

Ice it for 20 minutes every hour for 48 hours and then switch to a heating pad for 20 minutes every hour for 48 hours. You can also soak it in a warm bath.

it fairly is called cheating yet no longer what you're thinking. whilst exercising, doing a million/2 a rep is greater helpful than suffering and failing on the initiating so cheating is an incredible thank you to push your self once you have not got a spotter. yet do the propper variety till it fairly is impossable, than cheat

mesaage it with jets (like in a tub) and then ice it and stay off it for about a week and a half doing the same thing every day for twenty minutes

Stay off of it, wrap it but not too tight, you can take a muscle relaxer (if your not an addict). Hot and cold compress's off and on also work good.
