Pain started four months ago, at the crown of my head towards the left side, accompanied by tingling and itching sensation, radiating towards the temple and the back of my neck. There has also been a dull ache behind my left eye. The pain has since subsided into a dull, heavy feeling of pressure still accompanied by occasional tingling and itching mostly between the crown and the temple, although there is still some pain behind the left eye. There is also a tiny, hard lump on the scalp in the affected area, but it seems unrelated.

Symptoms arose shortly after having two back, bottom molars removed, which allowed impacted wisdom teeth to begin moving. Although it was also at this time that I acquired a laptop computer, which has put a significant amount of strain on my neck, shoulders, and eyes after prolonged use. There is also an undiagnosed and untreated chronic sinus symptom that I have had for years, which causes a heavy amount of mucus to flow freely in the mornings.

Well hopefully it isn't a tumor, since that's obviously what I'm worried the most about it being. Although, I don't have any of the symptoms of brain tumor/cancer like seizures, passing out, vomiting, etc...

And yeah, I don't smoke anymore, but those sinus problems seemed to arise when I was living in a basement-level apartment with no windows and smoking a pack a day plus bong loads.

The last time I saw a doctor I mentioned that I *sometimes* tend to be a hypochondriac, and I think this lead to him brushing off my symptoms as just being "all in my mind." As a result, the examination felt very brief and not thorough enough for me. I'm going back to see him on the 19th of this month... Hopefully he'll consider a more serious approach this time.

I'm not a doctor but when you say "tingling" I think of a friend of mine who complained of similar symptoms...it turned out that she had a brain tumour. I hope that doesn't freak you out. She had a successful surgery about 4 years ago and is living life just as she had before the surgery...minus the pain.

As far as your chronic sinus symptoms...to me that just sounds like side affects of smoking catching up with you. If you smoke, quit!

Either way, I would see a doctor as soon as possible...even if it's just to put your mind at ease. After all, there may be nothing wrong with you at all and you may be able to alleviate your symptoms with a few changes in your lifestyle. Hope you feel better soon!

Well, I am not a doctor but - the only way to determine what is really going on is to see one and chances are he/she will suggest either an MRI or Ct Scan. This can be a nerve effected by the oral surgery. Itching is a low grade form of pain -so it may not be an allergy, but just that, a low grade pain.

Uncertain, Paul. But I'm not easy about the pain and tingling starting: It almost sounds like a stroke or seizure of some sort.

Have a doctor take a look at it.

Good luck.

The pain behind your eye leads me to suspect sinus trouble. Try this: using your middle finger, lightly tap along your eyebrow, as well as the orbital bone under your eye. If you find tenderness, you may need an antibiotic.
