My dog, he'll eat anything that little guy.. and I actually feel bad when he vomits... I've only been around to see him do it a few times... and my first initial reaction is to call his name in surprise mostly... and he kinda tucks his tail in and puts his head down.. and I feel bad when he does this... Im not gonna go crazy just cause he does that. I get grossed out, but I don't get mad over it.

What makes a dog think its a bad thing to do? is it like peeing indoors?

Feel 'bad' as in like he did something wrong. he's not sick... just kinda over does it with food I guess.

He probably thinks that he is displeasing you and feels awful about it. Give him lots of loves after he vomits and let him know that you are not mad.

He thinks that if you call out his name in suprise, he's in trouble. That's why he tucks his tail in and puts his head down. So next time he does this, just grip him and calm him down by saying,"It's ok, little guy." And since your pup is a pup, it's ok that your pup throws up. It's not serious unless he throws up blood. Take him to the vet after he throws up blood. Something that he ate must have poked his insides and made it bleed. But your dog might be just tired. I have a dog and he threw up more than 11times in two days.

it's not good for your dog to vomit so you should stop feeding him whatever that makes him vomits or don't feed him too much to the points he vomits, but yes I do think they feel bad when they do, they definately know it's not normal for them to do that, my puppy get car sick and vomits a few times too he do the same thing so he sits very still not touching the vomits and waits for us to clean him up...

He probably knows he's not supposed to make a mess in the house of any kind. When you saw him and yelled his name, even in surprise, it reinforced this.

This is because of your tone of voice when you say his name you make him think he's doing something bad.
Just ignore it as in don't say anything just clean it up.
