fitness professionals are often employed by gyms so your best bet would be to look up all the gyms in your area and call each one asking if the have nutritionists, dieticians or even a personal trainer can help you out with food issues. you are right to question the healthiness of certain food because often foods just claim to be healthy as a marketing scheme to get you to buy them. start reading the ingredient list knowing that the ingredients are listed by how much is in the product starting with the most and going down to the least. things like whole grains should always be at the top of the list and things like sugars should always be near the bottom of the list...that means it truly is healthy. hope this helps

Make an appointment now with your dr. Before you know it the day will be here. Think of how long you have been overweight... it's a LOT longer than the time it takes to get an appointment, I'm sure. You say you THINK you want to see a specialist... by the time you decide, you'll be able to see your PCP.

Good luck

Every hospital has a Dietitian who can help you.
If you're near a hospital and you have insurance, it should pay for a visit to a dietitian for nutritional counseling. Some of them do pay for Bariatric Medicine specialists. (weight loss).

It has to be the exact health as it is, or else it is illegal.
