Apparently they aren't fond of the child because she's a girl and they want a boy.

call child services.. Ever see the commercial where the lil girl has a coat on that says I am abused? Well... Call.. If you have proof im not sure why you are asking. The police will make a report and child services may need to be called a few times, but they will do home visits. Keep on it.. You are now this lil girls angel and she needs you... HELP HER!!!!!!

it depends on what you consider beating, beating and spanking are two different things, and if they're just spanking her then it's not of your bussiness and thats their choice of discipline whether its what you choose to do or not, now if they actually beating the child that is another thing and you should call someone and report it, if the child is being beat she could be in danger if being hurt in so many other ways than just plain beating and if that happened because you didn't make a phone call you would probably feel guilty... even if nothing is done right away or even at all, at least you will know you did what you could to help the little girl

Call Child Protective Services or whatever they call it where you are. If you are afraid to do so, call the school where the girl goes. Teachers are required by law in most states to notify authorities of even a suspicion of child abuse. If it's really just a spanking and not a beating, the reporting person is protected against legal action.

Do it now!

Depends if they are actually beating her, or just spanking her as punishment. If it's just a spanking, it's none of your business. If they are actually beating her, then you need to call either the police or CYS, get someone involved so they can remove the girl from the home.

If the child is being abused, it needs to be investigated, I would call Child Protective Services, if she is just getting spanked for doing something she shouldn't, that is just the form of discipline they have chosen.....but again, there is a difference

Edit: Well again if they are abusing her, please report it to Child Protective Services ASAP, and be able to back up what you have reported, do it for the child's sake!!!

Report them. It's not the childs fault that they are here and it's not the childs fault that they are not the gender their parents wanted. If it is as serious as you express, talking to them won't work and may make it worse. a child is a precious gift and should be treated as such. Too many people can't have children for someone to mistreat their own.

Call the local police and child protective services.. EVEN if you just have a suspicion you do not need hard evidence- let the cops determine that.
Hopefully these mother-******* go to jail.

What options are available depend on the country the child resides in. Different countries have different laws or methods, if any, for dealing with child abuse.

Some countries parents want male children because male children take care of their elderly parents, while femaile children get married off to another family where they go to live.

I know, for a fact, that Chineese couples can have only one child. Because of over population, the Chineese rules created this one child per family rule. It is also true that male children are raised with the duty to care for their eldery parents. Because of this disaster has struck, and many parents put female children to death. They will either do so by placing the child in the elements, or use other means to kill the infant. It is very sad. For those families in the far reaches of the land, who reside in small communities and try to keep a second pregnancy secret, the pregnant women are focibly taken and tied down while an abortion is performed. If the child is born alive, the inject bleach into the softspot to kill it.

If this child lives in a country where male children are the most desirable, and she was allowed to live, she is fortunate.

However, it sounds as though her little life is a horror, and while I do not agree that death would have been preferable, she will one day marry and go to live with a family who may treat her well. Also, if these parents of hers dislike her so deeply, they may intentionally find her a husband and family who will continue her mistreatment, and there will be no way for her to excacate herself from the situation.

If where the child lives has laws against child abuse, look into finding the agency which enforces these laws. It sounds as though in this situation this child would be far better off in a strangers home who does fostering, than in her biological family. At least she would have a higher chance of marrying into a family who will value her and treat her well.

If I were in this situation I would contact the authority which deals in child abuse cases. I would not care if the parents knew I did this, but in my country people can report suspected child abuse with anonymity. On occassion, this type of anonymous reporting is abuses, but more often than not it helps children who are in horrific situations, and even saves their lives.

I would act right away, and write down any dates and the incidents I witnessed on those dates, in detail, and write down any bruising or other injuries seen on the child's body.

To not act is to be complacent in her abuse; actually would be me allowing it to continue. While reporting may not get the chlild removed right away, hopefully the investigation will help to detere the parents abuses. They will then know they are under observation, and I would continue to report as I saw abuses.

I feel very strongly about these types of situations. Children do not have any power to affect changes in their lives as adults do. They can't leave until they are much older, and by then the abuse has so deeply scarred them that they will carry those scars the rest of their lives, which warps their ability to lead a healthy life, plus, child abuse victims usually grow up to do one of two things:

They, in their turn, abuse their children, or they go the opposite and in the effort to not abuse, they are so lax the children become wild and uncontrolled.

If this is a real situation, please research your options and then follow through. Children such as this little girl have only those on the outside to help protect them. Please do not be one of those who observes such horrific abuses yet does not wish to become "involved".

I wish you are yours a very happy holiday season!
