Would YOu leave your Job that you really like if there was a girl there trying to start trouble and lie and say stuff to turn the other assistant manager against you(I'm an assistant too) and your boss practically laughs at you when you tell him You're worried about your job being endangered?

I like my job for the most part, but there's this phycho girl with no maturity to her turning the other assistant against me by telling her I sad Stuff I never did(you know, the cute little he said she said...) Well, the 40 something year old assistant tina, is running around with this girl like little school children and Tina is oblivious to the fact that the girl is playing her for a fool. I'v ebeen ther 8 months, the girl for 1 1/2 months, plu sshe was asking me how I liked my job, if I planned n staying there, ect..I tried talking to my boss and he just acted liek he was busy with something else or he just laughs....

H eeven had a HUGE smile like he was going to laugh when me and tina almost got in an argument.. It's almost like he enjoys it at times.... I don't want the drama and stuff, but I like my job.. I'm thinking about leaving because it's stupid high school stuff(no offence highschoolers) and I'm an adult just trying to make an HONEST living. I don't have to cram my nose up people's @$$es or lie about people.

Would you give a two weeks? and Do you think it'll come around to Bite them in the @$$?

Thanks for the answers!!

My boyfriend wants me to quit because of how I'm working full time hours but I'm in the computer for part time but If I mention it, they might cut my hours, plus I was supposed to get a raise, but the company won't give me one becuse they said I have to be there a year, but the book says 6 months
(and after that year, you only get 10 cents) Just confusing...

If I did give notice, should I him why I'm leaving?
If I left, I would probably just make and sell candles(my fav hobby) then travel with my bf since he's a truck driver(allowed to take passengers), I don't think I would be looking for other jobs, but I feel that he should know why I would be leaving so that he can correct or prevent mistakes by letting this stuff happen.....

I have a philosophy, working should be fun, If you can't laugh doing what you do, then it is time you found something else.
I can relate to how you feel because I have had something similar, however I found a part time, now full time, business opportunity.
Now I work from home, working with people who have all become great friends, and I am creating an income for myself, that most people could retire on no matter how old they are.
So if you would like to find out more email and I will get back in touch.

Time to move on. I have been in a similar situation a few times. As much as I loved my jobs, I have encountered people that were immature and insistent on sabotage.

Do not burn your bridges as far as a reference goes. No matter what is going on, if you decide to leave, always give a 2 weeks notice and do not express any negative reasons as to why you are leaving.

Stick it out, and try to just ignore the entire situation. Most supervisors know who is doing the work and gets things done. The more you do (Good work) the less the boss will care about office gossip.

I wouldn't leave. Not if you liked your job. That's what she wants. Get her on tape or find a way to prove what she is doing. If your boss isn't finding it serious it might be cause she is flirting with him.
