It's like all superstitions. If you believe in it, it's real. Otherwise, it's harmless. However, this one has roots in religion. I forget which but the believers felt it did something to the soul to celebrate early. I've celebrated my birthday early in the past and nothing bad happened so I think your son will be ok. Cheers.

i would be bad because since he is so young he will think that the party date is his birthday and then when his actuall birthday comes he wolnt understand that his party already happened... maybe a fun party in august and family party on his birthday... and he will be sad if he dosent get gifts on his actual birthday!

I never heard of any such thing. People do this all the time, when they are going out of town and want to celebrate with family and friends.

There's no such thing as bad luck. Throw the party when it's convenient for you.

My mom says the same thing! She was always one to throw ours the weekend after our bday, if it wasn't possible to do it that weekend.
But what's the worse that can happen?
