I'm not really sure. If I was you I wouldn't entertain her.
She might be a crook or a spy or belong to the SAS.
Besides my yorkies are better than hers....they have that certain "home made" flavour, and are 3 times as big.!

The question (to me) is who created the "family tree" ??
Normally in genealogy, you are the one doing the research (identifying who is related and how).. so it might be that you are looking a a direct line tree that doesn't show anyone but parents/ grandparents/ ggreat grparents.
Aunts usually are (as Jan says) a sibling to your parent or grandparent. She also may be a spouse of an uncle, which makes her an in law (related by custom but not biologically). One more possible situation is that many times, a beloved friend of mom (maybe even dad) is so much part of someone's life that they are given the honorary title of Aunt.

An aunt is usually your Mom's or Dad's sister. If she's a Great-aunt, she'd be the sister of one of your grandparents. You can also be a great-aunt/uncle to your niece's/nephew's children.
It could be that Bessie is/was her nickname. Try looking for someone named Elizabeth or something similar.
