"Better Job than Men"? I guess, squeezing a trigger is definitely a gender based skill. Why would it matter what gender is on the battlefields if there is a passion to serve one's country. I guess you would never vote a woman into office as President then, considering she would be the leader of the military. Women have made great strides in society in all fields and ignorance as proposed by you is very antequated. Good luck!

In combat it isn't who can do a better job it is how a team works. Women never go directly in to combat. I have served 8 years, been to Iraq and would not want to do what the infantry does. I have full respect for those in combat MOS's because even if they allowed women in them I would still say no.
Not sure the percentage of females in the military but if we weren't in who knows if a draft would be in effect.
As far as someone stating we don't pull our own weight. I can pass my PT test with at least 90% in each event, I qualify with at least 35 out of 40 on the range. When I was pregnant I still came to work everday. Yes I couldn't do my job but there is always paperwork to do etc.
I have been around men in the service that didn't appreicate females in but for right now we are here to stay.

Why ? Because in 1992 the US Congress opened almost all positions in the Military to females... though of course the Soviets, Vietnamese, Israelis, and others have used women in combat well before that. Several of the best Soviet fighter pilots and snipers were female.
Now I don't agree with the prohibition of them in "ground-combat" units if they are physically capable. I was flying and instructing some of the first women (pilots and aircrew) to enter the US Navy ASW community, and MANY of the female pilots were FAR better 'sticks', and the female aircrew ALWAYS scored higher on the analysis tests.
Of COURSE I also griped as much as legal regarding female sailors who got knocked up and ate up shore-billets... BUT, they're there and there to stay.

you're chauvinist in case you experience that females shouldn't bypass to West element that is residing contained in the previous. What makes you imagine that a 5'9 120lb male might want to carry a guy that change into 2 hundred lbs? no longer each guy accessible is buff with muscular tissues everywhere which includes the top, some are skinny and may't carry their way so does that could be considered to boot could they no longer be allowed to bypass to West element? What makes you imagine that a woman couldn't do it? Many can, contained in the right or needed circumstances. look on the female hearth combatants who attempt this each and each one the time and may be in worse circumstances continuously. What about pilots? could they no longer be allowed to attempt this too? women were attending West element because that 1976, the first graduates in 1980 so as meaning over 30 years women have graduated and lengthy gone on to serve their united states of america which includes in undesirable circumstances. ETA: Hayley - nicely i imagine this is exciting that he says it isn't politics yet yet he states he's a Republican. Then he's showing how most of the decrease mind he's utilizing even as typing out this question because he says he's a white anglo-saxon protestant. So he believes that God needs women to attempt this then he may also say why women then were distinctive the longest operating rulers contained in the international Elizabeth I as an celebration, then there change into Queen Victoria. nicely then we've Indira Ghandi, Corizon Aquino, Benazir Bhutto, Agathe Uwilingiyimana (Rwanda), this record maintains to comprise women who were the heads of state for Muslim predominate international places to boot that were elected best Ministers or Presidents. And lets no longer overlook the Iron lady, Maggie Thatcher. Oh and wait between the finished snipers contained in the international change right into a woman Russian, killed fifty 4 adult men for the period of WW2. Then there change into each and each of the ladies who flew the planes for the period of WW2, manned the ships to boot. Or for the period of wars like the Revolution or Civil conflict the position it change into on their the front regulations and who defended their land? The record maintains on. yet then what do us women comprehend? of route better than he does.

There are a lot of women that do better then men. A lot of men barely pass their M16 qualifications.
Also, I know a lot of women that are in better shape then men that I would much rather have next to me in combat. I see a lot more out of shape men in the military then women.

Yeah, I mean wouldn't it be great if it was like the 1800s again and all women stayed at home and didn't steal jobs from men and needed a man to escort them everywhere?
We stopped worrying about women working a while ago

Women serve in every role except ground, hand to hand combat. And even then many have been pulled into such situations. While I agree that I wouldn't want one to have to carry my fat a** off a battlefield, they are acquitting themselves w honor where ever they serve.

And why not? Some women will always be better than men in certain situations. And indeed, some very macho guys have been known to crack under pressure...

Why not? I had two female soldiers in my squad in Iraq, one was a half decent soldier and the other was a stone cold killer type. I'd take her over some of the male soldiers in my current unit to iraq any day.
