OK, who said pants are for men?
Back in the 'day', they all wore robes. So if anything, we shouldn't wear dresses, right?

The following is what Adam Clarke had to says about this text.
"Deu 22:5 -
The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man - כלי גבר keli geber, the instruments or arms of a man. As the word גבר geber is here used, which properly signifies a strong man or man of war, it is very probable that armor is here intended; especially as we know that in the worship of Venus, to which that of Astarte or Ashtaroth among the Canaanites bore a striking resemblance, the women were accustomed to appear in armor before her. It certainly cannot mean a simple change in dress, whereby the men might pass for women, and vice versa. This would have been impossible in those countries where the dress of the sexes had but little to distinguish it, and where every man wore a long beard. It is, however, a very good general precept understood literally, and applies particularly to those countries where the dress alone distinguishes between the male and the female. The close-shaved gentleman may at any time appear like a woman in the female dress, and the woman appear as a man in the male’s attire. Were this to be tolerated in society, it would produce the greatest confusion. Clodius, who dressed himself like a woman that he might mingle with the Roman ladies in the feast of the Bona Dea, was universally execrated."
This verse does not prevent women from wearing man's CLOTHING; it does, however, prohibit men from wearing woman's clothing. Remember also, that in Biblical times, there weren't much difference between the clothing worn by the men and the women.
From my reading of the whole Bible, the general principle is that women's clothing should be modest and that there must always be a clear distinction of the sexes.
Most of the time, the problem with women wearing pants is that the pants accentuate her sexuality (as opposed to her sex/gender). Why is it not in good taste for a woman to dress in a sexy outfit (dress or pants) to go to church? Because she would distract the men, including the preacher. We men can do without the ADDITIONAL temptation.

Well I guess that depends on whether God thinks that it's harder to forgive women who wear pants, or drag queens, than it is to forgive say, a murderer.
Also, you should bear in mind that what is considered as "pertaining unto a man" varied greatly during the ages. I'm sure that pants can't have been considered masculine at an epoch where they were not common place. Gauls were the ones to wear "braies" and introduced it to the Romans. And the form of pants we know today is far more modern than we usually think.
So if one thinks that we should interpret it with a narrow vision, then no. It's fine for women to wear pants as they couldn't have been intended at the time it was written. If we think it must be interpreted with a wide vision, then we need to consider what is considered manly attire today. So it's still alright because pants are no longer consider to be the exclusive domain of men.

Well, here's the thing. I don't wear men's pants and my husband doesn't wear women's pants. They are vastly different. Could you imagine what a man would look like if he wore women's pants? You've seen women who wear men's clothes. Doesn't it stick out as different? It's not about pants. There are sects that preach that women can only wear a dress or a skirt. They are preaching a falsehood in the name of God and it is despicable. I am a committed Christian and I truly believe that those sects are being used by Satan to keep half of the Christian population under the thumb of the other half. I would never allow my daughter to be a part of something like that.

Will men who wear pants get into heaven? Because men did not wear pants in Bible times. That is modern occurance for men to wear pants and they still do not wear pants in parts of the world. There is a difference in wearing pants and attempting to look like a man. A woman should not emulate a man. But in Bible times which is binding on us if you go that way, men cannot wear pants, either.

Of course they will if and only if they have Jesus Christ as their personal Lord God and Savior and believe God the Father raised Jesus from the dead. If they don't have Jesus Christ, not even the Pope can go to Heaven. Without Jesus Christ the extreme best person on the face of the planet will perish in hell. But with Jesus Christ, Hitler could be smiling down from Heaven. As well as any other worst of the worst sinners.

John 3:16, ""For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." Looking at this passage I'd say it seems that if a women believes in Jesus she is getting into heaven whether she wears pants or not.

I think that in Deuteronomy's time pants (long ones I take it) weren't allowed as female fashion then so that was their thinking not God's.
Women had to have worn some sort of underclothes, woman have different things happen to them that require something to hang onto some sort of cloth for sanitation.
I would think that if she never wore one (either type) she would have to work harder to get to heaven lol.

Women wearing pants will be admitted because they are not showing anatomy. Women who wear nothing also will be permitted, the men folks who were church goers and do gooders have to get entertainment, which was deprived for them in earth. The loose women also will be catered to this men.

I believe the intent of that scripture was to prevent cross dressing or pretending to be the opposite sex. Women who wear pants are not cross dressers because pants are no longer stricly mens clothing.
