I think, When the Army Men Helping the Country , While the Country Experiences the National Calamities , Such as Flooding, Earthquake and Major Disaster of the Nature, I Feel PROUD of Them. But, While They are Killing the Other Country Men in the Name of Border Patrol, I am Not Happy with the Army.

This is what happens when lawyers get involved and no one is paying attention,,
It's a legal maneuver designed to help the Pentagon get back some money and get out of honoring contracts.
It works like this, a person signs a contract to serve x many months for x amount of bonus.
Person is wounded and discharged before time is complete,
Therefore, person did not full fill contractual obligations and must repay military for remaining time.
Strictly a legal thing you understand, nothing personal. Bush is an MBA after all, this is how they think.

If this is a true unbiased story, you forgot to mention three important points in your write up. First, the government rescinded their decision to have him pay back the bonus, (prior to him appearing on TV, second, he was told to pay back 3k of the 10k he received, and third, Clinton (can't believe she took a stance on this) wrote a letter opposing any repayment by injured military personnel.
And, yeah, with your inept ability to put all the information in, and twisting it to make it sound worse than it is, I am sure the military is sighing in relief that you choose not to serve.
I do disagree with any repayment by our military that can't complete their service commitment due to injury, whether combat related or not.
Reread your source.

The Army isn't. It is not policy to seek repayment from soldiers who are unable to complete their enlistment through no fault of their own. The system will on rare occasions screw up and ask repayment from the wrong person, but these screw-ups do get fixed.

They are NOT. Some nimrod in the Pentagon with too much time on his hands thought that up. The decision has been reversed.
THE MILITARY IS NOT TAKING ENLISTMENT BONUSES BACK FROM WOUNDED VETS.
Keep up with the NEWS hot shot.

From what I read, it was one Soldier. The Army admitted it was a mistake and fixed it.
As far as your reasons for refusing to serve in the military.... well, I have my own idea.

Do you really think anyone gives a damn why you won't serve in the military? Go cluck somewhere else.
As for the part of your question regarding recoupment of reenlistment bonuses, I find it abhorrent in the extreme that we're taking that course of action.

Civilians who have never been in the military are allowed to screw those risking their lives for this nation. Let's go after the big bucks Obama gave away to Iran.
