I doubt there will ever be a one 'true' religion because religions are man made.

Good morning.

While I do not think it will be the TRUE religion, there is a new religion coming that will take the world by storm. People will embrace it and accept it as they have no other religion before. It is called the worship of the Anti-Christ, and the ones who refuse to embrace it will face death by beheading. This new religion will arrive on the scene after the Christians have been raptured. Now think about this, with the Christians gone, what is the next largest religious group that would embrace the beheading of unbelievers? Now, another point, what are Muslims looking forward to happening? The arrival of their 12th Immam that will unite all of them under one banner. Could the 12th Immam be the Christian Anti-Christ? Interesting thought to say the least.

What if it was already formed and fell out of favor? What if we are destined to never know the True religion? What if the only true religions were along the lines of the Jim Jones or Heaven's Gate cults? What if the only True religion is being kind to one another and making the best of our time here without worrying about the unknowable?

These are the things that keep me up at night...

Then I'm just a rotting sack of meat waiting to expire. The good news would be that I did my best every day to follow the precepts that would bring the most happiness to myself and the people around me.

If I was wrong and my faith was later proven to be misguided, then at least I would die with peace... remembered by others as a good person.

what gets me is when they claim that truth is not known. Then turn around and say their religion is the truth. So we are given a double personality. I'm not one to give mental help, but I can see that deprogramming is needed. I don't want to fall for another disappointment. As if I believed then wouldn't that make me childish? So what right do I have in bringing up children?

LOL @ Opinionated Kitten! GOOD ONE! HA! HA! HA!

Depending upon the definition, and one's outlook, all religions are "true" --

All existing religions are real in the sense that they, well, exist.
Their adherents believe that they are reliable and accurate. Therefore, in that sense, religions are true to THEM.
They are fundamental/essential to their followers.
They're true in the sense that adherents conform to the rules and standards of the religions, which validates the religions in the minds of other believers.

But as far as any religion/s being facts (in accord with reality) -- Existing religions are facts since they do indeed exist. But, as for being based upon facts or consisting of facts- well- It's true that some (perhaps all) religions contain SOME facts. But whether or not any religion can, does, or will consist SOLELY of facts- I suppose it's possible, but I highly doubt that anyone would ever be able to prove it.

With regards to being unbiased -- Since religions are systems grounded in sets of beliefs, NO religion is capable of being unbiased (past, present, OR future). I suppose one could say that religion itself is unbiased since only living sentient beings can judge and show a conscious and self-aware preference or inclination. However, since people create religions for the purpose of influencing others, religions are, by their very nature, biased.

That is good. If I could give you five stars I would.

That should stir the pot quite well.
Well, the Jews thought they had it, now, didn't they?

By the way, I keep hearing this voice telling me there's a message I need to write down, but it's like 500 pages long or something. Should I write it and tell people or just check into a psychiatric ward?

If there was a true religion, it makes no sense at all for it not to have yet been formed.

To those posting bible verses, just a question (no offense), if so many religions preach that theirs is the true one, how do you know which to follow just because a verse in that particular religion's holy scripture says to follow it?

It hasn't I'm still working on it..

It's a kind of open source project and it will consist of each and everyone having their own personal Version to suit them.

You'll be able to believe whatever you want..

You don't need to join or make any commitment it's just you.
