...into Heaven after they die, admitting they were reasonably decent people, will you feel cheated?

You must be talking to "Christians."

I would think they'd feel cheated. After all, they've spent all this time puking John 14:6 all over us at every opportunity.

"It won't happen if they continue to disbelieve." You see, the idea of heaven looses some of its savor if it's not an exclusive club. And not even exclusive on the basis of merit, but on the basis of whether or not you chose to "accept Jesus" as some kind of bribe to God to get you a good seat.

My whole problem with Christianity is this amorality. "Faith before works!" Had Hitler "accepted Jesus," he'd be in heaven, while Gandhi roasts in hell as a "heathen." It's despicable.

no.
i already feel as if this is the case.
i dont believe that what you claim makes that much of a diference.
what truly matters is the person you are.

if you are an athiest and dont believe in god, but are a good person and do good deeds i think you will make it to heaven, so long as you dont blashemy, or talk **** about god.

its not necisarily about believing, its about doing the right thing.

rikirail: what that means is that the only way to god is through LOVE, not through a man.

thank you GREG, for pointing out the fact that people are judged based on WHAT THEY HAVE DONE.
i say we give greg the best answer. please?

No Belief System or Religion has a Monopoly on Heaven...If you're idea is True....Everyone is a winner..

Any Member of any Religion who would deny a member of another Religion access to Heaven is Going to Hell anyway..

So they would'nt have a say in it..

Back in Action..Please.....Keep it short cos no one reads those rantings......Oh! are you on something?..sorry..carry on

But really those long Evangelical Speeches do spoil the flow of Answers....Short and Sweet is better IMO..What were you on about anyway?
Brunella...you too...I can't read that stuff...Write a Novel..

Actually, I wouldn't feel cheated at all...

I'm a Christian, who does believe that you have to accept Jesus to get into heaven, BUT still question that that is too easy, so is that REALLY the way to go

Don't people who where never truly taught about Jesus/God, get let into heaven too? (or as my belief....)

I really think EVERYONE is going to be surprised as to who is in heaven.

God won't and doesn't do that and I do not speak of personal opinion but out of God's Word , not to mention works will never get anyone to Heaven , no matter how '' good '' we are , we are still sinful and sin separates us from God

“ For whoever shall keep the whole Law , and yet stumble in one point , he is guilty of all ” ( James 2:10 )

“ But we are all as an unclean thing , and all our righteousness are as filthy rags ; and we all do fade as a leaf ; and our iniquities , like the wind , have taken us away ” ( Isaiah 64:6 )

And I saw a great white throne , and him that sat on it , from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away ; and there was found no place for them . And I saw the dead , small and great , stand before God ; and the books were opened : and another book was opened , which is the book of life : and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books , according to their works . And the sea gave up the dead which were in it ; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them : and they were judged every man according to their works . And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire . This is the second death . And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire ( Revelation 21:11-15 )

“ I am the way , the truth , and the life : no man cometh unto the Father but by me ” ( John 14:6 )

But Jesus died on the cross for our sins

“ He was bruised for our iniquities ... Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Law being made a curse for us ... God commended His love toward us , in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us ” ( Isaiah 53:5 , Galatians 3:13 , Romans 5:8 )

Now to answer personally it's not so much that we or they have never sinned but that I choose Christ while they choose the World , they chose Satan and that is quite unjust

Well, I do believe in God. Just as much as I believe in a Giant Purple Donkey that dances in my basement every day.

XD

Well, if that donkey was there, he abviously doesnt care about us. He has never made himself visible. Ever. Maybe we were his old science experiment. hahah. And yes, I am implying that today's organized religion, or any religion for that matter, has no clue about god.

No I would not. I do not deserve to go to heaven myself. It is a gift from God. But God's Word says otherwise.

The Bible says:
But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

If you are not following Jesus you are following a thief. Jesus said, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:10) The devil is this thief that comes up with false teachers and religions. False teachers and religions only come to steal, kill, and destroy. So this makes the devil a liar. We have already learned that Jesus is the truth. Do you want to follow a liar or the way, the truth, and the life?
