It asked if the Bible was suitable to be read by children... it got like 15 stars and some terrific answers. If I pray hard enough, will it ever rise from the dead?

Darrol: Case in point! I never asked if the Bible hurt children.. I only asked if it was suitable to be read by children. If you don't see any difference between the two questions, then what gives you the right to delete mine?

I hope you appealed.
I think it is fine for children to read the bible and then ask them, 'Is this a deity worth worshiping?"

Probably not. However, you have the right to object and perhaps ask it again. There is a place where you can object to such deletion.
I am sure the Yahoo team cannot handle all such things but they probably are trying to avoid deleting things that do not offend truly.
I don't know how you worded the question, but if it was worded as above -- it is a valid question by some since there are accounts therein that are a bit 'hair raising' to children.
After all, each parent has the right to control the reading material of their underage children.
^^^^^^^^
Actually, it seems that you did resurrect the question here!

I doubt if praying would help, but your action of posting another question concerning it certainly helped. I hate it that I missed it. You do make a good point, because there are some tales in the Old Testament that aren't exactly age appropriate. I do believe though that is where a parent's discretion comes in, and they slowly teach the child about the Bible as they are able to understand and comprehend it. I would say 13 would be a sutiable age now days, but it is important to bear in mind even adults who read and reread it form a new understanding. My mother dosen't agree with me though, so I guess its a matter of perspective.

I'm a Christian - I get reported, questions deleted, accounts suspended, etc. all the time - I always thought the unbelievers were the overly sensitive ones here - (once I asked a question if abortion helped control the atheist population because obviously these fetuses would not be raised in a God-fearing home - can you believe that was deleted?!?).
Honestly - I wish we could all agree to do away with this silly "Lord of the Flies" mentality here, but never when censorship is arbitrarily placed in the hands of the young has it been exercised responsibly.
So now my motto is - "So much effort to report; so little effort to set up a new account".

I do not think that children are hurt by reading the Bible. The gods know I read it as a child. But then maybe I am proof of the harm it can do.
I hope you get your question back. I am very disappointed that questions can be deleted so easily on Y/A

I got a question deleted yesterday that was DEFENDING Muslims. I'm afraid to write anything most of the time. That's why I hardly ever ask questions. Sorry your question got deleted. Have you appealed it?

I saw it,would have answered but I reached the daily limit. It was a good one. I don't think it can be resurrected by prayer alone, I think only works for god-spawns... so I hear.

Challenge the violation notice. This may help to lower the reporters' credatibility. Also try posting this in the Y!A community forum, to help raise the awareness of abuse.
