In my dream, I got home from a friends’ house and walked in. it was super dark inside and gloomy. My dad pulled me aside and said, “Hurry, you can only save one item!” so I knew immediately that WW3 was happening. I went on hands and knees and crawled to my room and got up. My mom was there and she said to stay under the lights so they wouldn’t see me, and to be quick and only one item. I opened my desk drawer and ducked as a light came. Back up and I snatched my diary-floppy-disk and then went down to go out. On the floor I saw my BFF’s friendship bracelet and I decided to snatch that too. So I was out of my room and my mom took her right hand back and slapped me and I started to muffle a cry in pain. “I said only one!” she shouted and we crawled to my brother’s room. There, my dad was using a razor in attempt to cut off the bed sheet. My brother was asleep so I woke him up and said, “What’s your one possession to keep?” He saw the lights wander and then whispered into my ear

and then whispered into my ear, “your purple hippo!” [I don’t have one…] so I nodded and crawled out with everyone and a bed sheet that looked like leaves. I went to my sister who was eating orange sherbet and tugged on her shirt “I didn’t get the right diary, please go back with me!” She scooped some sherbet into a saltine cracker and crawled with me. The room was fully lighted as I tried to stay away from windows. I searched through and found my diary and ran out. We ran into the kitchen and my dad looked at each of his children. “Good, good, good- you all look decent, now lets go under!” He took a hammer and hit the door hinge on the front door so no one could get in and we all went down to the basement. As everyone went, I stopped and fled upstairs to the kitchen again. I saw the bowl of apples on the table and took 3 and ran back. The basement was pitch black and I felt my heart pounding as I called out, “mom? Dad, you guys?” and there was no call but the hum of the radiator.

the hum of the radiator. I started shaking and crying as I sat in the corner calling for my mom and dad.
I woke up crying, on the floor, and with a huge headache. What does this nightmare mean?!?!

As a child I had a recurring nightmare where my parents and sister left me in a deadly situation. I was standing with my mother on our front porch staring at the full moon - ablaze with red. From the moon a warewolf soared down and landed at the bottom of the steps. With it's fangs out it climbed each step closer towards me. "Pick me up, pick me up!" I would scream to my Mum over and over again, but she stood motionless and unphased by the situation. My father and sister were inside, and the door was locked - of course, I never had a chance to see if it was locked, I just knew. Just as the wolf was inches away I would wake up screaming or crying. It sounds pretty stupid now, but as a young child it was terrifying!
I'm not qualified to interpret dreams, but I think they often reveal some of our greatest fears. My greatest fear in life is of being alone. I notice it was not until you were left alone that you began to cry. Perhaps it was not so much WWIII you feared, but your parents' abandonment when you needed them most.
Other possible explanations (usually it's a combination of contributing factors)...
- you watched a action movie or thriller recently
- you're sentimental (I disagree with others, it wasn't greed at all, but a strong desire to hold onto your fondest memories -- you say it was a diary you took with you? And you also took a BF charm bracelet -- again, a sentimental object. The apples were not about greed, they were about necessity)
- you care about your family and your friends, you fear what it would be like without them
Hope this helps. I don't think your dream is anything to worry about. It just sounds like a reflection of who you are, what you care about and what you fear.

In the dream you knew war had come. War is complete and utter destruction. Unknown forces are changing the world around you and you have no say in the matter. You have to choose only one item. That's a hard choice. You want to take two items, a diary and a friendship bracelet. Both items are symbolic of the past. And old friend and old memories. Which do you hold on to? Rough choice, a terrible one to make in life.
All throughout the dream your family is protecting you, helping you. Your sister faces danger to help you search for just the right memories to take, and finally it ends with everyone sealing out the harm and running to isolation. You grab 3 apples. Apples symbolize wisdom, three represents trilogy, past present and future. At the end your family is gone, you have to face the future on your own.
You have major choices to make in life. Right now you're on the precipice of a new day. The destruction of the old, and the promise of something new and unforeseen. The great thing is, you're taking this on with the help of not only those closest to you, but also with the wisdom of the past to guide you. Eventually, doing this yourself maybe scary, but youre prepared, they helped you get this far.
Although the dream was frantic, the messages are clear. I see good things to come, even if at first the changes are unwelcome. Change is a constant, but you've got the support and knowledge to grow along with it.

Wow, that was crazy. Usually a dream like the world ending or someone/thing dying means a new beginning. Are you leaving your childhood on to adulthood? Or is there any part of your life that you've decided to leave behind? It seems as though in your dream you can't count on your parents, but your brother and sister were eager to help you. Are you having issues with that?

l think it is a warning something terrible is about to happen to you and your family perhaps your house may catch fire or some disaster will soon happen and you escape with just one thing but your family made it out ok and that is good.you will survive this terrible period of your life because your family stcks together.

im not a professional dream guy or what ever you call it, but my guess is, "greed is a factor that will affect your life greatly if you dont controll it now."
