Eve gained the knowlede of "right and wrong" or "good and evil" AFTER she partook of the fruit.
She did not know she was doing wrong before she ate of the fruit.
How can she be held guilty?
She was ignorant when she ate it, her eyes were not opened until AFTER she partook.
God bless all who read.

but since she didn't know the difference between right and wrong, how did she know she was wrong in disobeying god?

this isn't an answer to the question, just a rebuttal to some of the answers

It was not a matter of right or wrong, God told Adam & Eve that they could eat fruit from any tree in the garden EXCEPT THAT PARTICULAR TREE, Low and behold ... she did, the reasonGod wanted them to stear clear of the forbidden fruit tree was he new the serpent was there,,, they had an entire garden of peace ,harmony, free of guilt, gluttony, shame,etc.. but she went to close, just like he asked her not to, and she was tricked by the serpent, all she needed to do was trust in Gods word and have Faith in him.. and look where it got it us,,, she either doubted God, or was curious, either way, her faith was put aside to look into something God specifically told them to stay away from,,, If your mamma tells you the fire is hot, ? do you stick your hand in it?? Have Faith... peace

And he's with somebody else now. you're the two very youthful and it exhibits - the two rushing into intercourse with individuals till now the dirt has settled. i might say "attempt to pass it on my own for a on a similar time as", yet you do no longer prefer to try this. So a minimum of seem for somebody else, no longer your ex. good success.

She knew God had said not to eat from that tree.
To "have the knowledge of good and evil" meant to be the one who decides what is good, and what is evil.
She "saw that the tree was good for food"..."was pleasant to the eyes"... and "was desirable to make one wise..."
This is what is described in 1 John 2:16.- "...the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life..."

Know,
She had the knowledge that it was wrong. GOD Told Them NOT to eat from that one tree and they refused to believe HIM. Instead, they chose to follow the advice of Satan. That was her big mistake and Adam followed her as well. Have a great week.
Thanks,
Eds

Um.. she is not "guilty" per se though she and old Adam were expelled. God made them and already knew how things were going go along in Paradise. ( it's a parable )

Her "sin" was removed when Jesus said ..Forgive them, they knew not ....

Why assume the "good and evil" applies to Eve?
The "knowledge of good and evil" applies to God.
Because of that outright act of disobedience, God now how evidence (knowledge) of how faithful and loyal Eve would be.
Eve wasn't ignorant.
sadly, neither was she obedient or loyal.

Read Mark Twain's, "Letters From Earth."

He provides an interesting take on the very point you are making.

God told them not to eat of that fruit, but she did anyway. She DID know that she was doing wrong.

Gen 3:1The serpent (a shining one, an enchanter - Hebrew word) was more subtil (crafty) than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman.
:Yea, hath God said, 'Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden'? (Satan always quotes/misquotes God)

Gen 3:2
And the woman said unto the serpent, "We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
Gen 3:3
But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden God hath said, 'Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it (touch = Hebrew word naga = intercourse, to lie with a woman,
Eve added this neither shall ye touch it on, God never said this, Eve was enchanted by Satan).
------------------------------
God only said
Gen 2:16-17
And the Lord God commanded the man saying "Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Eve lied about what God actually said adding the words not to touch while speaking to Satan, she was clearly enchanted by this supernatural, beautiful shining one who is described in Ezek 28:13-19 below
--------------------------------------

God speaking to Satan in his role as the King of Tyre
"THOU HAST BEEN IN EDEN the garden of God: every precious stone was they covering, the sardius, topaz, and teh diameond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and teh carbuncle, and gold, the workmanship of thy tabrets (drums) and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.
Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so, thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and own in the midst of the stones of fire.
Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou was created, till iniquity (sin) was found in thee......."
"Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness:......."
--------------------------------------
True her eyes were opened after she partook,
however,
Gen 3:5 Satan speaking to Eve
"For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened and YE SHALL BE AS GODS, knowing good and evil...."
--------------------------------
So, she was clearly being seduced by Satan
II Corinthians 11:3
"But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty
(Beguiled = Greek word means to wholly seduce)

but, Satan also told her that she would be as god, which she chose, she wanted to be a god.
---------------------------------
Eve had her own free will to chose between right & wrong, she told a lie to Satan, she wanted to be a god, she may not have fully understood the consequences, but she had her own free will to decide and choose what to do.

(She was an innocent being like a young child who is told not to take the cookie from the cookie jar, and he does.)
----------------
Then she acquired the knowledge of good & EVIL
Gen 3:7
"And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons (not over mouth."
-------------------------
In Gen 2:25
Before this event happened with Satan
""And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed"
_______
Also, I think the bible is much more interesting than anything Mark Twain or another author wrote since the bible is divinely inspired written through the hands of man over a period of 1500 years or so, going back In the Beginning to our future yet.
