Yeah it pretty much contains every in the question but I have things I don't want any one to see on my computer so how do I pass word protect my work? xx

That's what I have is the Vista Home Premium and this is what I did to find the answer for you...

First go to "HELP" on your Word toolbar (the ? mark). Then do a search for "lock a document" which brings up "Set a password to open or modify a document, workbook, or presentation"

Then you'll get different options with instructions for each option - step-by-step with diagrams to make it easy to follow.

Figured it was easier to tell you where to go to get the information than tell you how to do the actual action in case my instructions weren't all that clear.
