the other night, i had this dream where i was forced to go to some catholic holiday churchy time of party by my parents. So, i go unwillingly and end up meeting a very nice little old lady who had such wonderful stories to share and just listening to her was soothing. Then, she asked me if i believed in God. I didn't want to flat out say "no" to her, so i shrugged instead.
The lady's face then turned even older. New wrinkles and bags under her eyes appeared, just out of the blue.
Her eyes were bloodshot, and she said to me, " you're a sinner. I won't allow this, i won't allow myself to speak to a sinner."
I started backing away, and i could feel the coldness from everybody staring as i leave, with the worst looks of disgust i have ever seen.
anyone have any idea of what this could mean?
i couldn't stop thinking about it all day.

Churches are a place of safety and faith in dreams.
The old lady was nurturing, and comforting then began to "die" in front of you, when you revealed you may not have as much faith as you "should"
Im not sure that this has to do directly with religion. I do believe however that there is something your not so sure of anymore. Youre still conflicted about things you believe in. And youre afraid that others may look down on you because youre unsure.
Ask yourself. Am I starting a new path Im unsure about? Is there family pressure to do something you know isnt what YOU want? Is there something you feel that your friends and family wouldnt understand if you told them about it.
You wanted to tell the truth in the dream. But just the hint of it caused accusations of "sin".
To me, this means you know what you want, and where youre heading, but youre nervous about what you want to reveal. Thats is so very normal. Judgement is never easy.
Sometimes we have to venture out on our own, with only our own strength as support. Know that whatever you decide, you can accompish it. And being kicked out of a church is not being kicked out of gods house, because god is in everyone, if thats what you believe.
Please know that you posess the strength to do what you know is right for you.

we are all sinner even that sweet little old lady. but what that dream is really telling you is someone or something is shutting you out because you don't believe the same way they do. it might not nessarily be that you don't believe in God but it is something or someone you may need that is shutting you out for not believing the same way they do

The old lady you saw was the world. It has become very old and is about to complete its journey. It is doing its job dutifully. But did not like your refusal to accept Almighty God, who created it and us. She thought being human you would
have the wisdom to believe in God. Therefore she showed you her dismay.
