I'm 65 and was brought up in a Welsh Apostolic church, and then the Church of England, and was confirmed when I was about 15.
When I became a know-all 17 year old, and thought science was everything, I turned my back on the church, I still believed in Jesus because he was a historical fact, and I liked his teachings.
Over a period of almost fifty years, I slowly but surely became an alcoholic, I was put into rehab last November for three months.
The AA programme is a spiritual one, not a religious one, so I had to find a God of my own understanding, this after nearly fifty years of atheism was no mean feat, but I made it in the end.
Now my God has removed all my obsession with alcohol, and I have not had a drink for over a year.
To make things even better, I met a wonderful lady at an AA meeting in March this year, and we are to be married in her local church next year. She is also a recovered alcoholic so we now both attend her local church regularly.
Truly a remarkeably happy ending(beginning) for an alcoholic atheist.

I was always a Christian, hopefully a true one. However, i TRULY accepted Jesus as my savior a few months back after seeing Him in a dream, and after that Ive seen Him again in another dream as an answer to my prayers. I cant say i truly understand Salvation and know who the Lord really is, but everyday im learning and experiencing Him more. :) God bless.

I went to sunday school and then became a choirboy but have never been religious. I found God at about 40th year but still have no faith in religion, per se, I see religion as a stepping stone to a much greater understanding and study all religions rather than embrace one. I class myself as an Universalist.
