South - Camden
North - Paterson, Jersey City (outside of Pavonia-Newport), Newark (outside of downtown), Elizabeth.

I live in Jersey and it's hard to pick just one (going to hell for that one lol)... but I think Camden and Newark rank right up there on the list of dirty and ugly.

Camden has a pretty bad reputation and was not a pretty place to drive through.

Camden .... very depressed city.
high on crime and lots of abandoned buildings.

paterson! i used to go to school at william paterson and everytime i passed through paterson, my skin would crawl (and i'm from jersey city).
