I am 16 and have waist length hair. I was thinking of cutting it to just below my shoulders. What do you think I should do?

It's your decision and no one can make it for you. I think a change probably would be good because you've had it long for such a long time. I recently cut of my waist length hair to my shoulders and i LOVED it. it's alot easier to style and to manage.Donate it to Locks Of Love if you do. It can help to make a wig for children who are going through treatments and no longer have hair of their own. I say go for it Girl, Change is good!

If you are nervous about cutting so short then maybe start by cutting to the middle of the back length, wait a couple of days to see how you feel, if you don't miss your long hair then go for the shoulder length cut.
If you do decide to cut short you might want to donate your hair to a cancer society or something, for example www.wigsforkids.org
Remember hair always grows back

you should cut it into something more fashionable and grown up now that you're 16. don't want to have the same style you've had as a kid! don't need to get loads of length off, just change the style a bit or get a fringe?
look at pics of celebrities or buy a hair magazine for inspiration.

Some people regret it, but then grow to start loving it!

If you're not sure yet,just get a little off or try a new style like getting it layered or a fringe,it'll make a difference without you regretting it later,if you then want to make it shorter you can!

gawd youre so luckyy. i wish my hair was long, in fact im probably getting extensions later to make it look longer :D
but if yew just have straight long hair, it could look kinda boring and old fashioned. if yew want a new look, spice it up with some layers :D or get bangs, if yew dont already have them. just dont cut all of it short! ^-^

That depends on you. If you do decide to cut off a lot, can I suggest donating it to "Locks of Love" ? That beautiful hair of yours can be used to make a hair piece for women with cancer.

i think u should i cut mine to my shoulders and every one said the loved it i had my frindge back and there is another thing it stops u from getting nits
