I am about to get a Samsung Digimax NV15 10.1 MP Digital Camera, and I need to know how many pictures I can hold on a 2GB memory card.

about 400 to 1000 depending on the resolution you choose

A 10 mp camera will take jpg files that are around 4 to 5 megabytes. Figuring on 4 megabytes per file, that's 2000/4 or around 500 photos on the outside range.

If the files are more compressed, you can fit more, but you'll lose some quality.

Estimate maybe 5mb per picture, maybe a little more, so 2GB should hold up to 400ish
depends on camera file save settings, if you save as "RAW" (if camera supports it) then U get lost less, but very high quality images

My chart shows 284 shots at 10 megapixels.So figure 275-280-.

thats quite alot.. but a 10.1 mp camera will take up around 5-7mb each photo. so it can vary

i have a 2 gb and i am up to 1050 pic and it is still going.

try this : backup your card to computer My computer right click - manage - disk management - then format your card - selecte 2048 mb
