You could wait until he looses weight and gets free, but then all the good boys and girls would not get their presents. Why not go onto the roof and tie a rope to the sleigh and the other end to Santa and get the reindeer to pull him out so he can continue his journey. He may leave a little gift for helping him.

Grease him up with brandy butter, that'll help him slide down.
Other tactics-
1.) Light the fire.
2.) Lure him out with a turkey leg.
3.) Get a barge pole and shove it up the chimney until he pops out the top.
4.) Just leave him there until he slims down.
5.) Call the army to pull him out with rope and a military helicopter.
