Yes. He really was. But it doesn't mean that crucifying him meant he saved us. Well who knows? Many people were crucified that time claiming they were the son of God. And even claiming they were the messiah.

Yes.He was beaten 39 times with a cat of 9 tails
They thrust a crown of thorns on His head.
He carried His cross which they nailed Him to.
Spikes being driven into His wrists and feet
All the sins of man were placed on Him
He was on that cross for six hours
They mocked Him and spit on Him
A Roman Soldier Thrust a sword in His right side
Blood and water came out and when it hit the ground
The sky turned black and there was a great earthquake
AND THEN A ROMAN SOLDIER YELLED OUT
SURELY THAT WAS THE SON OF GOD

The links didn't work...
could you give us a short synopsis instead?
Edit: Thank you to Adeel A for the synopsis. I'm going to star this question, as I don't have time right now to watch two hours worth of video, but I would like to peruse it at a later time. If the question is still open when I do watch it all, I will add my thoughts then. If not, thank you for this view.

I dont know about all the other stuff you added but yes otherwise how else were we to be reconciled back to God. We were dead in our trespasses and sins and how else could we be born again and believe if Jesus did not die for our sins
