For me, (Atheist) I would demand the same proof Moses and Thomas got. At least for the Abrahamic god...

Nothing could convince me. Even if some guy floating in the sky shot lightning a few feet from me, making a pig with the voice of BB King come out of the hole and make me memorize the history of the Pacific Ocean. I could go solipsist or I might just be crazy. Or, more likely, both.

EDIT:
Holy sh-t Adeel! Did you just write the Encyclopedia Britannica?

The scientist then found out that the presence of the cleeth gland, which generated the tiny electromagnetic container that certain the argonic compounds needed to Molgen existence, and the reality that Pharpulam became into in the ideal orbit around Gujal to maintain it on the fundamental temperature to maintain methane liquid and gamma radiation severe adequate to suppress the proliferation of deadly seef spores, became into data that God existed. The Earth isn't in the "suited place" for humanity, carbon-based organic and organic existence developed because of the fact not something could develop in considered one of those place. And the quantity of oxygen in the ambience relies on the waste products of vegetation. Earth's environment became into initially truly poisonous to people, yet Earth became into crammed with existence. A runaway climatological exchange extinguished the super majority of it, altered the balances of gases, and at last bring about an entire new selection of existence types, which blanketed us. If vegetation have been wiped out, oxygen stages on earth could dwindle as loose oxygen clearly certain with different components, meaning humanity could could think of immediately to circumvent extinction and exchange by greater advantageous tailored species.

ALL ... Religions ask that you accept something that cannot be proven ... hence the word " FAITH"

People that seek the truth are agnostics and people that are certain the truth does not exist are atheists all others are classified by What they accept without proof ( usually the belief of their parents ) such as Christian , Jew , Muslim etc.

The idea of a God with human form just seems egotistical to me, and implies that our brief human history is the culmination of all creation. The rest of the universe and all other creatures are merely a subset of our existence. I would need to actually SEE God to believe that. Maybe have a little chat with him.

As for some sort of "higher being", I suppose if I had enough power of positive thinking and good things happening when I was down on my luck I might start believing someone's got their eye on me. After all, I can't take all the credit myself.

Well, he could come to Earth for a start and speak to us and explain where he has been, what he's been up to since he created the universe, why so many have died in his name and clear up if he is Muslim, Christian or what.
Never gonna happen.

You're well aware that there is not going to be that kind of evidence so you've made your decision already by placing the demand on your Creator (if He exists) to prove Himself to you.

We don't have to be convinced that God exists in order to seek God. All that is needed is the idea that God has worth to us. We seek that which we want to find and the more we want to find, the less proof we need.

So by seeking God or rejecting God, we show our idea of God's worth to us.

He and or an agent(angel) to show me heaven and anything I deem necessary to change my mind and shows me that he/it's worth my worship/praise. Of course if "Gods" counterpart did the same that would suffice also.
