People from Merseyside sound like they are talking on CB radios. They've got that weird cross between a Welsh accent & West Country thing going on (LOL), but I have to say I much prefer that to Cockney (which I can't stand). I really like Northumbrian accents too & the Cumbrian accent is quite similar to some sections of the Scottish borders.

I'm from North Wales but the sing-songy accent of South Wales ('there's lovely, look you, isn't it boyo') makes me cringe. I also hate the common Liverpool accent and the youthspeak ('innit, wha'eva) accent.
I like the Southern Irish brogue and the Scottish (Edinburgh more than Glasgow) accent.

Being of scouse descent, the Liverpool accent is my favourite (though it would seem that a lot of people here wouldn't want to hear me lol), I love the diversity of regional accents and dialects as long as they are not too thick, think they can sound quite harsh then.

Lol, I work all over the country and have met ppl from all areas who have moved from their home town.
However, I have never met a Brummie except in Birmingham.
Embarrassed by their own accent maybe?
As for Dudley, roflmfao!!

I also like the South Wales accent, it's more tuneful and less 'throaty' than North Wales, but generally I like any Welsh accent. can't say the south West Archers type farming accent does more for me though it sounds a bit 'village idiot' to me...!

I love the Yorkshire accent, but South London ain't bad, either - I have to say that so I don't hurt hubby's feelings! If we're talking accent that makes your knees tremble, it's gotta be french, male.

The queens English as spoken in the south. i don't mean with a pompous or exaggerated posh accessory. Neither, on the different end of the size, the type spoken by that terrible Jade Goody. i'm not antagonistic to the Geordie accessory yet i can not stand that harsh Irish accessory spoken by the likes of Ian Paisley.
