I think one of the best reasons for belief in creation is the fact that if the earth was any nearer the sun we would be burnt to a crisp -further away and we would freeze. We are ideally placed in the known universe.
When we look at the photos taken from space looking at the earth it is just like a jewel. Other planets look dull coloured but not the earth.
On another point - all creatures are dependant on each other and on the vegetation that supports them. We may not like the fact that the weak animals provide food for predators but it is self-sustaining.
All creatures have an interaction with the natural surroundings they are in. Animals for deserts, animals for frozen lands, whales etc in the sea. Every year more unknown creatures are found in places where men think life could not be sustained. In the depths of the sea in the total dark divers
have found fascinating life forms.
But the problem comes when men think they will introduce an animal not normally occurring in an area, that causes problems because there are not the appropriate predators to control their numbers and they become a plague.
I cannot believe these and so many other natural phenomena happened so perfectly by chance.

I believe in creation . If I believed in evolution then I would wonder where did I loose my tail. If Adam and Eve were covered with hair, why did they have to cover up? Were they bald monkeys? Why were they so developed that they could talk to God or did they regress? The issue is about believing in the Bible, but many scientists, anthropologist are looking to discount creation. The belief in creation is on a spiritual a level, how, then can that be proven?

Creationisim - Magic, the ability to simply explain away anything that requires questioning their beliefs with "god did it"
Evolution - Scientific with experiments and results, the scientific process is very thorough.
Out of interest there was an site I saw recently which was a video review of a seminar but Kent Hovind which attempted to explain creationism through science. No im not kidding, the official site of his is in my sources. He's currently in prison for tax evasion because he claimed god was a higher authority then the IRS.

Well, evolution (mutation in response to external stimuli) does happen. Whether or not that extends to creating new species is still up for debate. (Wish I knew what happened to that study with the frogs...I can't even find a reference to it anymore...)
As for creation, I can only answer for me, but it just makes more mathematical sense for life on this planet to have been created than for it to have just happened. The probability against everything working out exactly the way it did is just statistically impossible...almost to the level of miracle, which kinda makes creation even more possible. Well, just some thoughts there...
Good luck on your journey.

Man is no accident!
We were created for a purpose, otherwise there is no point in being here.
This blue planet upon which we are born, live and ultimately die is like no other that we can travel to easily.
Matter exists because it was created, not because it always existed! There must therefore have been a time = zero moment!
The biggest word to enter this argument is FAITH or conversely the lack thereof. We either believe one side of the argument or the other, and accept by faith those principles we cannot fully comprehend.

Well creation is made up and evolution is based on scientific facts and testable evidence.
The details of evolution may change as we discover and learn more.
The creation story can never change no matter what new discoveries we make.
If you like you can believe that science is a gift from God, you can still believe in God without having to believe that the Bible is literal scientific fact.

You get to believe than humans roamed the earth with dinosaurs. See this lovely photo from the Creation Museum in Kentucky (http://arstechnica.com/articles/culture/ars-takes-a-field-trip-the-creation-museum.ars ). Check out the diorama of Eve sitting in her sexy frock next to a velociraptor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:CreationMuseum15.png ).

Well one of them could be true, so the best reason for believing in anything is because it's the truth. I favour creationism, because I have read the evidence and I know God is capable of doing it. In the end it doesn't really matter, all that matters is what Jesus did for us.
