Where can i find information on your ordinary variety mild steel, i need to figure this out:

A solid steel rod is of a certain length and supported at each end, its diameter is 1 inch, how much force will it take the bend it?

can u check the "Hand book of mechanical engineering" for all the details u want to see about a large no of material properties......

it also have the formulas for the deformation of different mechanical members...
