I've been bashed from heck & gone for previously answering such a question with NO. Like, no one who is truly honest can say they have no regrets! Ha.
Regrets, (& mistakes), are perceptions. They are truly stagnant, as they don't allow the "good" consequences, & assume life would be "better" had we chosen another way. But, we can never know, can we? A whole different life, a life with "different regrets."
If we honestly, openly track way, way back to a "regret" & follow it, I'll betcha a cookie we'lll discover a perfect harmony.
Say...I chose this job, couldn't stand my boss, went home spent, every night. Directly through the job, I met someone special from whom I discovered, & pursued another profession. Through this new profession, I met people so much more compatable. I was physically injured, & not able to continue. I felt totally lost & uncertain. I actually sought therapy. (Which I knew wouldn't work for me.) Leaving the therapist's office, & having no sense of direction to find the elevator, I asked a man to point me to it. I married this man. A very short marriage, as he died. But meanwhile, he was my mentor & took me on another journey. One I will always love.
Now, tell me, from this sort of hypothetical scenario, where are my regrets? What mistake did I make?
None. "We learn from "mistakes." NO again. Life flows like a river. My mum used to say: "If ifs & ands were pots & pans, what would the poor housewife do?"
If we could change one single thing, our lives would take a different turn, but never, never be any "better."

Note: Perhaps I'm dense, but I simply cannot see how the answer of lb_centaur related in any way to your question??
(I'm getting brave for I shall be leaving soon!)

Note: Just "cleaning house"! I was thinking, regrets are more like wishful thinking, aren't they?

I've regretted some choices, but in the end it all works out and I learn a really tough lesson. I don't hang on to regret anymore, too stressful, and I have enough stress as it is. I just pick myself up and carry on with life. I have fewer regrets now than I have had in the past, and what I regretted than I don't really regret now. Hindsight is 20/20.

I don't have a lot of regrets, but a few. The most recent one is that a neighbor died. I would see her from time to time and enjoyed her company. I should have stopped in during the last several months, but she was ill and I kept thinking it was too late, or I'd be interrupting something, etc. I should have just popped over there anyway, because now I'll never see her again.

We all regret we didn't take the OTHER road in life at one time or another. I love my life now, but the rest of my extended family has a lot of learning to do and like the vortex of life, want to suck me into it! Life is what it is, full of what if's. Take the negative throw it out and never look back. It will eat you alive! Gotta catch a train!

I try to never regret anything because I strongly believe that everything happens for a reason. The things I've done in the past make me who I am today, and I would say I'm a pretty strong person now :]

I would find it hard to believe someone who says they haven't got @ least one regret. I have 2 in my life that I regret that hold importance to me. One I was able to go back and correct...the other will I'm afraid be with me for the rest of my life. But even with regret you learn so it can be a positive if you learn from it and don't make the same mistake again. I learned.

Yeah. I have a lot of choices I regret. However, regret isn't a healthy thing to focus on, so.. I just try to move forward and do the best I can.

i've made some truly stupid choices, and it's natural, i suppose, to wish there could be a 'do-over' on a few...i truly regret the things that i have done that hurt other people...but, overall? not really-my choices have led me to where i am today, and i have to say that life is great! i'm truly blessed, and i consider myself one of the most fortunate people on earth!

Yes.
Sometimes it is depressing to think about them. The good part about choices though is that you can make new ones everyday.
It was a good choice to make you a friend. I certainly don't regret that!
