I have a 5 month old cat. I live in Minnesota so it is cold right now like 3 degrees. Is it bad for kitten to go outside? And for how long.

No they dont really like cold weather and if they get cold outside they might hide in a small cosy place and not come back home for a while. If your cat is used to the weather then you could let it go for a wee while. As soon as it comes home check its ears, feet and nose. If they are normal then its fine to let your kitty go outside!

Best of luck xxx

1-At first this depend in ur cat type
some types can tolerate the cold weather and others cannot tolerate it so u should till us about its type.

2-2nd its a small cat so u should be more care full on it from many things as its very small so its immune system is not so good as large one so it can have pneumonia and u don't like to lose ur small cat by that way.

3-this small cat if it was with her mother her mother will try to get it warmer so why don't u ????.

4-treat ur cat as a baby so it will love u as you r his family so i don't think that u love ur baby to go out in this cold weather.

5-u also should not treat it as prisoner as cats like to go out so much so u should take it in a journey every few days but not for long time

Cats & Kittens don't mind cold weather if they are cold they will find somewhere to shelter or they'll paw at the door or a window telling you they want to come in
when my cat was a kitten thats what she would do

heat up a towel somewhat in the microwave. do no longer enable it get warm. wrap up the kitten and carry him close to on your physique. His temp could desire to return to generic. enable him sleep on a comfortable blanket in the domicile and remote from drafts. Feed purely cat foodstuff and water if he's a minimum of 8 weeks of age. If he seems small or below weight, then purchase kitten formulation for the extra beneficial foodstuff that he desires. do no longer provide him milk. good success.

No kitty will be fine, it will know when it's time to seek warmth. Make sure he takes his kittens' mittens....
