i really like the idea of a peace sign on my pointer, a heart on my middle finger, and maybe a smiley on my ring finger...kind of like this:

i was asking if they wear off because if you get one on the bottom of your foot/your palm (or your inner lip if you drink much) you'll have to re-do it often because it fades quickly....i should have said fade and not wear off

so, the finger tips won't work...what about the same place as the heart in this photo...would that fade just as quickly? if it would fade quickly any suggestions for a better place that won't fade that hurts as little as possible (i know tattoos hurt, i want the least amount of pain i can get though) and where i can see it?

Finger tips would hurt and the ink will eventually wear out as the hands, feet, and mouth regenerate skin (shed skin) faster than other body parts. I know finger tips hurt because before starting a piece on my ankle one day I got this weird urge to just try a few places to see how it feels, the tip of my index finger and a few others were where I tried. I have a high pain tolerance, but something about the feeling of intentionally making your finger tips feel like you have a paper cut made me cringe.

Even in the location on the second link, you're still looking at the tattoo fading quickly and needing to be touched up or completely redone often.

fingertips are meant for feeling... so they probably have some of the most sensitive nerves on your whole body. Ouch!!!!!!!!!!! as for the wearing, I have no idea, but thinking that because you touch so many things with them, if a tatto were to wear, it would be one of the fastest places.

Still, very creative idea for a place to get a tattoo. I want a smooshed spider on the bottom of my foot, but I heard it hurts and wears off ;)

Not a good idea because
(1) the tattooing process may damage the sensitivity of your fingertips, which would interfere with normal use of your fingers and your hands, and
(2) because your fingertips contain so many tactile and pain-sensitive nerve endings, it would be very painful.

1) No it wouldn't wear off
2) Yes, that'd hurt like hell getting a tatt there. Think about it, your fingertips are full of nerve endings, more than anywhere else in your body........

that would really hurt i think,as for wearing off.....the ink is tattooed quite deep into your skin and would fade with the sun and age more than anything else.I think the ones in the photo look fake and they're done with a marker pen.I've never seen tattoos on the inside of hands before, the back yes.How would you keep it clean and dry?Your hands are not the most hygienic place to get a tattoo plus the fact your hands and fingers sweat.I think you would struggle finding a tattooist willing to do this.

The answer is yes, it would fade quite quickly! Think of how many things you use your fingers for. It's pretty much like your feet. There's not really any way to NOT use your fingers for something.

Tattoos should be considered permanent. This means they do not "wear off". There is some fading of the initial brilliance.

As for how much it would hurt - prick your finger and get back to me. :-)

that's cool!... it would hurt much though because fingertips are surrounded by nerve endings sensitive to sense of touch...like of PAIN.

goodluck!
