We all make mistakes.
We all have our moments of being right and wrong.
None of us are perfect.

The prinicple of uncertainity, does not provide an individual with the feelings of security which they crave, and it is human nature to strive towards achieving the highest possible position within the social order. There are many people in this world which are genuinely deceptive, and will go to great lengths to gain your trust because they enjoy the sense of power, which it gives them. However there are just as many people out there who would deliver the harsh truth regardless of the fact that it is not always what the person wants to hear.
And nobody likes being made to feel that they have wasted/are wasting their time, energy or money on something which others find to be unproductive.

Great answer from the judge!
In Florida , an atheist became incensed over the preparation of Easter and Passover holidays. He decided to contact his lawyer about the discrimination inflicted on atheists by the constant celebrations afforded to Christians and Jews with all their holidays while atheists had no holiday to celebrate.
The case was brought before a judge. After listening to the long passionate presentation by the lawyer, the judge banged his gavel and declared, 'Case dismissed!' The lawyer immediately stood and objected to the ruling and said, 'Your honor, how can you
possibly dismiss this case? The Christians have Christmas, Easter and many other observances. Jews have Passover, Yom Kippur and Hanukkah...yet my client and all other atheists have no such
holiday!
The judge leaned forward in his chair and simply said, 'Obviously
your client is too confused to even know about, much less celebrate, his own atheists' holiday!' The lawyer pompously said, 'Your Honor, we are unaware of any such holiday for atheists. Just when might that holiday be, your Honor?' The judge said, 'Well it comes every year on exactly the same date---April 1st! Since our calendar sets April 1st as 'April Fools Day,' consider that Psalm 14:1 states, 'The fool says in his heart, there is no God.' Thus, in
my opinion, if your client says there is no God, then by scripture, he is a fool, and April 1st is his holiday!
Now, have a good day and get out of my courtroom!!

I have been proven wrong in the past and I'm sure it will happen again in the future, but for the moment I'm right just because I am. You got a problem with that??? ;)

Its not always a question of being right and wrong. . Its a question of trying to foist your beliefs on another person.
I learned a long time ago, that we are all falable. . we all make mistakes. .
The ideal is to try to convince someone, without alienating them. . and that includes knowing when to shut up.
I don't foist my religious beliefs on anyone. . .but if someone from another religion, (I'm not going to mention any names, but the initials are ISLAM) thinks they are going to convert me by the sword. . .
You get the point!

Because we are too proud to take someone else's opinion into account. Let's do self-criticize sometimes instead of criticizing others all the time.

I only believe that I am right for me. I do not live another's life, so I cannot see how they feel, or why.

Because I am more intelligent than they ever have been or ever will be able to achieve. The sad thing is that ignorance does not have the ability to recognize brilliance.
