I have way too much anger within me that can't seem to be released, and I try to release on a daily basis. I'm isolated and many many other bad things. I'm surrounded by everything I hate, and no matter how hard I try to escape and be happy, It seems like the universe itself is holding me back from everything I want. 96 percent of the people I know I can't stand. I'm virtually all alone and only run into people I don't like.
Is it possible for me to be happy?

I don't feel like explaining why I'm so angry.. I don't have enough room to put it all but to put it shortly... I have had a shitty life, terrible parents, no friends/love etc.

relax, you're a gemini. all this crap going on in your life will help you to appreciate it when things finally do go your way. I've had sh**y parents to the point of being put in a s**ty foster home, been homeless, been divorced 2X's, and had to put my cat to sleep, only to find out it wasn't sick after all. Can you be happy? Of course you can be. Will you be happy? That depends on you. your happiness doesn't depend on your situation, but comes from within. You need to find your "inner child" and give him a day out where he can play. If you can't play, then you won't be happy. The only reason you don't like whats going on around you, is because you don't like whats going on inside of you, you don't like you!( I recognize the signs, been there , done that) Only by learning to accept yourself as you are, will you be able to change yourself into what you wish to be. Piss on everybody else! WHAT IS GOING ON AROUND YOU IS UNIMPORTANT! YOU ARE IMPORTANT! but remember you don;t have to like the people around you, but you do have to deal with them, so try to be nice even if you don't feel like it ok?

Of course it is possible for you to be happy, even if you are alone. Not liking the people around you doesn't matter if you like yourself. When you are happy with yourself you can do so many things. Turn your anger into proactive energy, and start something you want to do. If you continue to live in a life that you hate, you won't get anywhere. And if you have no other options but to stay in your current situation, then make the best of it. Try to stay away from people you don't like..go to new places, etc. Only YOU can change your life, and it sounds like you are waiting for other people to change it for you. So do something about that!

First I would need to know how old you are? Because if you are a teen or pre-teen then it may be hormones. But if you are older you may have a chemical imbalance. I would see a counselor. Either at school or find a seven counties type place that you can get help for free. I think everyone can be happy because truly it is only a state of mind though sometimes that is hard to see. You may have to block out everything bad for a while and concentrate on the good like do you have a pet you love or a hobby that you love. Concentrate on the 4% of the people that you know that you like or love. Pray to God ask him to help you. Get help believe help is out there and you can get it. No one has to know!

Anything is possible. Therefore, it's entirely possible for you to be happy. You just have to go about it the right way.

About releasing anger. Try releasing it in other ways-if you're a writing type of person, writing songs or just jotting down how you feel may make you feel better. If you're not that type of the person, try punching a punching bag or a pillow, using a stress ball, etc.

Try not to hate people so much. If you dislike them, figure out what exactly it is that you dislike so much about them-and try to avoid or fix it up. Get out places, meet people.

Good luck for the future,
Von

What makes you so angry? Is it something that happened to you? Is it your current situation with your life? It's so easy to focus on the things we hate. I don't know your situation but I can HONESTLY tell you that you can be happy, why? Because I've been there. It is possible, my advise is do not keep this anger and talk to someone, the more you talk about it the better you will feel and the more you will understand what's happening around you. You can be happy :D, I know!

Do you live at home? If so, have you told your parents how you feel? Holding your feelings inside only makes it worse. You should probably see a doctor about getting diagnosed. Maybe you need like anger management. Or you can try to solve your issues by yourself.. like why do you hate 96% of the people you know? Can you find anything you like about them?

I'm not a doctor, but I use to hate everyone too. Mainly because I hated myself. You can't love/like other people if you don't love/like yourself. Maybe that's your problem too.

You sound like me. Except for the anger part. I'm 36. Ever since I hit 30 I practically never get mad anymore. I just don't give a crap and figure I don't have that much time left until old age takes me to that great palace in the sky...or possibly to the darkness below. I feel like a seed dormant underground for 16 years or however long it takes until conditions improve and are just right for me to sprout (botany analogy, I'm top 10 in botany). I don't like anyone. I don't want to be their friend. My only friend is a goober. In real life.

The only way I can think of is to just will yourself to be happy. Sheer force of will. Wake up each day saying I am going to be happy and no one and nothing can stop me today. Good luck!!!

yes it is possible but it is up to you when you want to be happy. sounds like you are in a negative funk. start seeing the good things in life. perhaps you have too much that is given to you and not enough that is earned. if you did you would appreciate what you do have. you probably don't like most of the people around you because you don't have things in common with them and find them fake. but i am telling you, hang in there and change the way you think. instead of a negative replace that thought with one positive and you will really see a difference. i hope things get better for you.

Hmmm, I'll put it this way. You are exactly as happy as you choose to be. You are as angry as you choose to be and you have had as shitty a life as you choose to feel it was, primarily because you chose to feel it was shitty!

The fact is that life can be, and usually is, hard. What makes it worth while is when we get over those humps and find what joy we can. Forgive the people in the past that have made you feel bad and forgive yourself for feeling that way and then move on!

Channel your anger into some type of physical activity. A friend of mine was always angry, so his dad gave him a shovel and told him to dig until he was too tired to be angry. Now he owns a landscaping business...go figure.

If this anger is beginning to effect your health you really need to seek professional help. Yahoo answers is not the way to go.
