Pray to God, through Jesus, that He may enlighten you as to the truth and nature of the Jehovah Witness faith and doctrine. There is no greater authority on this topic then God's Word, embodied in His Son, Jesus Christ, and given to us (humanity) through the Divine Gift of the Holy Spirit. Never rely on the wisdom of mankind to define the nature and truth of God.
God will tell you; He will not and cannot lie!

That's really cool that you are making a point to study what you believe.
It goal of these studies is in no way hidden. Their desire is to see you become a Jehovah's Witness. Will she be offened?
I don't know if offended would be the right way to put it. The encouters I have had in the past with JW's is that once a person expresses the fact that they do not intend to convert, the conversation is over. One man said something about shunning unbeivers. It's unfortunate that open dialog is not possible between the faiths, but it is uncommon.
As a fellow Christian, I would urge you to be sure you know what you believe. The Bible can be made to say just about anything if you string together the right verses in the right order. It's critically important to look at the context of each one - who was speaking, who was listening, what might the 1st century readers have heard, as opposed to 21st century readers. Context is always important.

Whether or not she is offended depends on the type of person she is. Conversion is important to Jehovah's Witnesses, though.
Why not just be honest with her? Tell her that you enjoy the bible study sessions but are not prepared to convert and are not interested in the Sunday services. Let her decide whether or not she is interested and willing to continue with the bible study sessions. She may decide to move on or she may decide to continue and be happy that she can talk to you about the bible, even if she's not gaining a convert.
Be up front - don't lead her on, and give her a chance to make a decision. You may end up with a long term bible study partner and no need to feel guilty about potentially using her.

No. Anyone can have a study with JWs to learn more. Most who study do not become JWs.
Just tell her you don't want to continue.
However, what we believe is well supported in the Bible and also in the authorative references of mainline churches where we found this anyway: such as the cross not being what killed Jesus, etc.
I and most witnesses collect many Bible versions and references, not just JWs. Because of the suspicious nature others have of JWs because of all the rumors flying around, I never use NWT when talking to others in studies or letters or email. Also, use the references and encyclopedias of others not JW references....WHY? Simply so others can see the facts for themselves and that it is NOT the interpretation of one church or one man, but is know even by the high ups in other faiths (just not practiced).
Most churches ministers will tell you whatever you want to hear to keep you in their church....so generally, they tell gays they can stay gay, tell straight people they don't approve of gays, tell trinitarians that trinity is true, tell those who want to believe Jesus is truly God's son he sent from heaven that is true....
Money is the bottom line in popular religions not truth.
Most church people I've met don't even know most of what their church teaches...
I was in other religions for years and even have a seminary degree. Dad was a former preacher in several religions and has 12-13 degrees.
He has no religion, I've been a JW for 20 years. Dad has an antireligion website that gives his education and teaching credentials (he believes most of the same things JWs do). I have a website for online Bibles and references (Protestant and Catholic ones) for comparison and research.

No she will not be offended if you do not attend our meetings.
That is your choice to make and ONLY your choice.
NIV Bible is an excellent version of the Bible to read.
So tired of people knocking us like we are second rate human beings. A cult? Ok we are 7 million strong worldwide. All our contributions which is ONLY by volunteer donating goes to building and maintaining our places of worship, maintaining our printing presses which are state of the art.
We pay our taxes individually in EVERY country we are in.
We are ALL ordained ministers yet NOT ONE of us has a salary (because of being Jehovahs Witnesses)OUT OF 7 MILLION people. We all have jobs and support the economies where ever we are. I am a landscape contractor in CA. How many religions can say that?
As far as what we believe you have every right to believe WHATEVER YOU WANT.
We have every right to believe what we want to believe.
If we abstain from blood because we believe the Bible says that respect our belief. If we want artificial blood substitute instead of blood WE WILL PAY FOR IT. Anything wrong with that??? Its a 10th the cost of blood for heavens sakes.
We don't believe Jesus Christ is the Almighty God because
we don't. Respect that belief. I dont get people on here.
We all read 1 Corinthians 11:3 the SAME in all our Bibles.
Even the KJV says that "the head of Christ is God".
We don't believe that the Almighty God would ever HAVE A HEAD. This scripture is talking about headship. Who makes the decisions ultimately. The man is the head of the family and , at least according to the Almightys desire he set up the man in that position. This is not rocket science people.
It is very logical for someone to think from this scripture that Christ Jesus has someone of authority over Him making him NOT equal with the ALmighty. If you disagree thats YOUR CHOICE.The Almighty God loves his son who he created and they worked together to create this beautiful earth that man could care less about today.
Maybe you disagree. Thats your right. We dont call you clowns or idiots if you do. ITS YOUR CHOICE.
Does this organization sound like a cult to you?

She probably will not be offended, but will be honored that you gave her a good chance to express her views. My bias, but I (and many others) feel the JW are off the mark. You may find it interesting that they have their own "translation" of the Bible that they often use.
I really feel that you may be misled if you are not careful. Please consider looking at the web site below. You can always disregard it and think I am misled, if you so choose. I am sure your JW friend will think so. You could also look up John Ankerberg on Google Video and see his stuff on JW. Sorry Jeh. Wit. people, you may be nice, but I do not agree with you. Good Job revulays... above! Good web site mentioned too.

The Jehovah's Witnesses are mostly nice people. They just follow the philosophy of men, NOT the Bible as it was intended. They cite no authority other than that of some guy who interprets the Bible in a very offbeat way that virtually NO Biblical scholar agrees with.
I suggest that you study THIS website and see if God will reveal to you what He has to millions of others who were searching for the true Church of Jesus Christ.
The same Church Christ established in the New Testament is again restored to the Earth. The LDS Church is the only Church on Earth that believes 100% of The Holy Bible.
We invite you to prayerfully study here what the Church has for you.
May God always bless you!

By definition of Christianity, JWs are not Christian. I only know that their founder predicted the world would end on such and such a day and it didn't. I enjoy their focus on using the bible, but I don't understand the context in which they use it. Look for the Good in any deed. Your are turning an event into Good, why should she be offended? If she is, she is not coming from Good, but from an imperfect self serving emotion (offended).

You will find that JW's read their bible much more often and participate more than other religions. It was founded as a Bible study group in 1870's by Charles Russell. His successor's realized that Jehovah is god's name and Changed it from International Bible Students Association to Jehovah's Witnesses.Because we welcome God's Kingdom and Satan's Destruction on Judgment day.We try as hard as we can, because Jehovah will do at Armageddon the same thing he did with Noah and his Family, preserve those serving him and destroy those lacking faith in God's Word. Why do you feel guilty?Read Matt. 16:26.She won't be offended, but it's like a Titantic survivor saying that the ship won't sink, and refusing life jackets."The world is passing away and so is it's desire, but he who does the will of God remains forever." -1 John 2:15-17

well...you have answered your own question. At the end, she will ask you to convert to jehovah witness. it's her "job".
Don't listen to her. jehovah witness is only a cult, not a christian church. It teaches that jesus is only a created being, an angel named michael, that there is no hell, no blood transfusion, etc....
Please pray to heavenly father earnestly and read bible, especially the book of john....
May the Lord Jesus bless you....
