I was a Christian when I started here. Now, an atheist. And happier and more comfortable than ever.
Yay for us. :o)

Not at all...I'm here to learn more of my own belief in God and from atheist opinions I see on here, I have become stronger in my faith of God. I am learning new things that I had not known before..before I came here I did not know what "agnostic" meant but I have a better understanding now of other religious beliefs here. And now I can form more knowledgeable arguments and debate while learning in the process.

I find other peoples opinions interesting, sometimes disturbing when one criticizes another for a belief they know nothing about, Personally I studied many religions before Y/A ever came into existence. I am, and have been a witch for over 40 years. It does sadden me that so many people remain ignorant and close minded.

The more questions I ask the farther away God seems to get, and this is not because I don't question God but I question God and all the things surrounding this being. Knowledge is power and I believe that the majority of people only continue to believe in God due to need and so called faith to continue a mental addiction they may have in need of an eternal savior to cope with another question which would be "what happens when we die?".

I became an atheist shortly before coming to this site.
But this site is great for converting to atheism, i wish it would have been around when I was a kid.
I was raised a Christian, but I was always an atheist at heart.
I think alot of people are in that boat.
It just took a push to get past the fear of hell.

This forum has helped me to grow in what I already believed. I am not Christian or Atheist, so most of the time I disagree with some part of most of the answers. Rather than change what I believe, it has made me want to study more, learn mmore, and grow more in my own spirituality. My path has become more important to me. I want to have answers to people's questions,or at least to my own. Thanks, all, for the opportunity!

No, being a veteran of crusading creationists invading evolution chat over the years, I was well prepared before Y/A. Probably some of the same flickering bulbs from over the years are here under new names.

When I first came here I was an atheist looking into Paganism, now I'm a Pagan looking into Wicca!

Yes and No.
Not really "converted". Just more certain in my beliefs. More willing to talk about the truth.

I was an atheist anyway. Being online and seeing religious discussions here and elsewhere, I am even more convinced atheism is the way to go.
